Hi,

I am a 30 year old, an IT specialist and used to be 227pounds. Found out this website from Runner's World forum.

We had a free medical check up that my doctor nearly gave me blood pressure pills in order to lower them. Made me realized that I must do something since my genes has a high blood pressure, diabetic and heart problem. I was given an alternative whether to consume those pills or to lose weight. So I decided to choose the hard way by loosing weight. Then running come to my life in around March 2008 and to think of it, thats the cheapest way of losing weight (heh!)

The first day of running was a pain and I can barely breath for few meters and this running activity is going on and on and decided to put extra activities such as badminton, futsal (soccer), swimming and cycling as my cross training. Now, I can run 'better' than before.

I registered my self for a 10KM International Run and it was a bit screwed up because the airline left my luggage behind. To cut the story short I managed to finish them up.

Now I lose around 22pounds and wanted to lose more. My goal is to run my first Half Marathon next year and ideal weight is around 174pounds. At the moment I am still concentrating on losing weight and thats the priority for now. I hope I did good in introducing my self. If you have any question to ask please do not hesitate to ask or contact me. Nice meeting all of you.
