i understand how you feel flowerpot, its very frustrating when you want something to work and it doesnt. Sadly there are no magic pills or machines that make you lose weight. Your body is a fat burning machine if fueled and conditioned properly. I'm a trainer/nutritionist and if you would like me to help you start some sort of regimen let me know. I will gladly assist you in any way possible

Herbalife is not a sustainable healthy way to lose weight, no matter what they try to sell you on.

Here's what I suggest to get started on a really healthy way to lose weight.

First of all, read the sticky posts around the various forums. There's tons of good information on nutrition, weight loss, and exercise.

Next, sign up for a free account on either fitday.com or thedailyplate.com and start logging the food you eat. This is a huge step and a big eye opener for a lot of people. Just seeing how much you eat and how the calories and nutrients balance out is very helpful.

The biggest thing that has worked for me is to not just "go on a diet" but to realize that healthy eating and maintaining a healthy weight is a LIFESTYLE. I focus on clean eating - eating healthy, natural foods, in reasonable amounts.

Exercise is also key. You don't have to join a gym or kill yourself working out. If you're just getting started, something as simple as a nice brisk walk once a day is very effective. Adding in some simple things to your day - climbing stairs, moving more, all will help you to reach your goals.

Tell us a little more about yourself - what you normally eat, how much you exercise, what you like to do ... and we can help you with more specific advice.

Thanks guys for your replies.I am f 5ft11" and i work nights for 2 nursing agencies.I find getting through the nights hard sometimes and reach for the coffee and buscuits as an energy boost. On the whole i eat healthy foods anyway(lots of fish and veg.no red meat) but dont exercise nearly enough due to always being tired.on my nights off i can never sleep and therfor end up sleeping the next day.I need to work the nights as the £ is better but it is reeking havock with my weight.
