Hi!! i was at 350 i was down to 301, but now im back at 312 and i know this is the beginning of the end, what do i do?? how do i find some motivation to start strong again??im eating like crazy, i cant control myself lately, and im getting depressed again, please ill apprecite any help with these.. thanks a lot in advance!

I know exactly how you feel! My motivation to finally restart was just getting sick of the weight again. I tried to start like five times, failing miserably each time. Finally I just forced myself into it. I also looked for reasons I could lose weight besides "being healthy." The main reason was a girl I like and also so people will stop with the fat jokes. Just try and find a reason to lose weight.

Yes, exactly, that "motivation" i had isnt there anymore, and theres where the probs started again, the being healthy isnt enough, i also need something else... i just had to work so hard to loose all that weight and im gaining it back so fast..its frustrating...

We have the same problem.

I am off my plan for now, I will be traveling which will not work with my plan. I am going to try to be moderate in my eating.

I am going back on the plan the day after Xmas.

I will probably gain 5-10 pounds for my indiscretions.

The thing that is differnet for me this time, is that I am so strongly convinced that I will get to my weight, that it will happen. Maybe not on the time table I prefer, but oh well.

One thing I think about, when I am dieting, is right now, what should I do? Is this action (eating) in line with my goal? Will I feel good about this decision in 5 minutes?

Hang in there.

Idk where your from, but summer is coming up soon, and so are bikinis, pool parties, etc. That right there should be your motivation, if you start hard now, by Summer you should be looking great and the hotties, just think of the hotties.

Well the hotties are a good motivation, but im MARRIED!! LOL... to a VERy beautiful lady, so that alone SHOULD be motivation, but it isnt.... i just need to start again strong... do you guys know of any natural pills or something that might help in this case??

Very Easy Yet Very Hard

BiggiePR, This is my theory, and it works for me. Yes it is easy & if you keep doing this, you will get back on track. If people would do this they would never be in the position were in right now.

1. Weigh Yourself Everyday

2. Exercise (cardo) 4 times a week, never take two days off in a row.
Yes you can exercise more.

When I keep doing this I can't just keep watching the scale go up day after day or stay the same.

My Two Cents

I used to have the same problem. I would lose weight and then something would distract me and I would begin eating and not exercising again. I finally got bigger than I have ever been and felt tired and fat all the time. I think a big thing is like said by troutman, go to the gym at least 4 times a week. I used to get tired after a month and stop, but once I finally got over that hump couldn't stop going. It may take a while for one's energy to pick up from exercising, but after a couple months of religiously going to the gym, one's energy goes through the roof. The days I don't go to the gym I have so much energy that I want to go to the gym or do something active just to burn off all my energy. I think that is the key. Keep working out until your body actually changes its natural energy level. You won't feel depressed and will have so much energy to motivate yourself.

Just my experience. Good luck!

Wat about lots of sex with your wife...not only will u burn loads of calories....its a real mood booster...you'll feel great...plus...Im sure your wife wont mind...lol.

Stop... don't let it overwhelm you. With all the things in life we have no control over eating is something we can control. It's not easy but look, you've done so well already. Just because you slipped doesn't mean you can't get back on track. You have to do it for yourself because you're worth it... it's as much if not more a mental issue as it is a physical one so figure out why you're punishing yourself with the weight.

You can do it and just think of how good you'll feel when you say I did it after saying I can't for so long. :)

I hear you! When I got my tonsils out last year, I couldn't eat ANYTHING, and I lost like 30lbs in two weeks or so. I was so frustrated when I gained it all back, and more.

I still have to urge to binge, and eat everything I can around me (I only just got started) but all I could do was question myself. Do I really want this? Then my mom got on board and started buying special things just to help me,and that's how I knew it was the real deal.

You have to just believe in yourself. You've done it before, you can do it again . Just keep telling yourself that. The end result will be amazing, you can do this! Keep going :)

I found this site is helping a lot. I feel so excited about recording what I've eaten each day, and about telling about my progress. Try recording what you eat, and planning ahead for your meals.

I agree. I did the same thing too. I started at 185 went down to 150 then back up to 165. I tried couple of times to restart but failed. finally I made up my mind and now I am down to 137. It does feel amazing when people look at you and tell you how good you look. Heads turn when you go out. You get the required attention and over all you feel on top of the world when you can go to a store and pick up an outfit and know that hell ya this will look amazing on me. Not to mention the load of confidence that brings you. So keep going. As troutman said weigh yourself everyday. Some people don't advocate it but clinical studies proves that people who check their wt everyday tend to maintain or loose wt faster because they are in check of what they eat and how much they consume compared to people who check it once a week and realize the damage done.

Also here's a nice poem for you; when I read this it really helped focus on my restart efforts:

Start Over!!!!

When you’ve worked so hard to follow a dieter’s way
And you fought to win a victory each and every day.
But one more time you went astray – start over!

If you’ve started out in pursuit of your goal
And you’ve really tried with your heart and your soul,
But somehow things got out of control – start over!

When you’ve tried your best to do what you should
And you thought this time that you surely would
But once again you didn’t do good – start over!

When you tried so hard to yourself to be true
And do the things that you know you should do
But once again you failed to come through – start over!

When the road to success seems much too long
And each temptation was oh so strong
And once again you gave into wrong – start over!

When you’ve told your friends what you planned to do
And trusted THEM to help you through
But soon discovered it’s all up to you – start over!

When you know you must be physically fit
But your hope seems gone and you’re stuck in a pit
That’s not the time for you to quit – start over!

When the week seems long and the successes few
And at weigh in time you’re feeling blue
Remember TOMMOROW is just for you! – start over!

To start again means a victory’s been won
And starting over again means a race well won
And starting over again proves it can be done
So don’t just sit there – start over!

Hey guys!! My advice is yes you are married, but you do want the girls too at least look without that grossed out look on their face, right? Also, think of all the work it took to get where you are, do you want to start from 0?

As for the rest of you, I manage to stay the same weight for 2 years and then for a year or 2, I gain until I finally say hey your getting fat again!! Example, I gained 6lbs this month! Holidays and Quit smoking, but I had gained 8 over the course of 2 years, so now I am 15 lbs away from my goal. I know what its like and I don't understand why this happens. We see it happening and get upset but just let it happen... I have been trying to get back on the wagon for the last 6 months and it has not happened. I am hoping to restart on January 1.

Sometimes, I get frustrated because some people don't have to work at this, they just have it naturally!

So 301 lbs and you got back at 312 interesting Why ? Because you loose your motivation...Really how is your sex life? Dont answer, I dont want to get into personal questions. But I guess that is a motivation. how about childrens if you have them do you think of them and if you dont have them do you want to live long enought to them overweight is a mayor cause of diseases and stuff specially heart problems. come on man i am sure you can find any motivation..

Also dont think about doing this for someone, think doing this for yourself..
