Greetings

Hey guys! I joined a couple of weeks ago, but I decided to hang out and read for a while before formally introducing myself. I've been working an office at my university for the last couple of semesters and realized that the sedentary work isn't doing my body any real favors. So I'm going to be dieting, working out, and reading the forums. I look forward to reading the threads in the forums (more than I already have) and perhaps contributing once I've gotten back to a reasonable shape, haha.

I can't wait to hear about your progress. What are some of your goals?
 
Trying to increase my cardiovascular capabilities and get rid of some of this excess body fat, really. I've been running nightly at a local park, and I've gone from less than half of a mile when I started to nearly three quarters of a mile without having to stop. I'm sure that doesn't seem to be very lengthy to most of you, but it's something to me, haha. As far as the body fat goes, I don't see any progress, but I've lost a couple of pounds in the last couple of weeks, so I'll claim progress. :D
 
Hey, everyone has to start somewhere. I'm sure there are many others on the forum who are at the same point with how far they can currently run, or they can remember how far they ran on their first few attempts! Congrats on the progress and the weight loss!
