Just signed up today, found my way in here because of the before/after forum. I'm 42 and way too fat. I dont blame it on genetics or hormones or anything else. I know full well its because of lack of exercise and crappy diet.

Currently i'm 6'3 and hovering around 385. My goal is 220. I dont expect this to happen overnight, but I do expect it to happen in around a year...year and a half or so.

For those that are younger and reading this...if you're overweight, you've probably had people tell you how it gets rough on you when you get older. It's not a lie. Take this from someone that used to poo poo people who said stuff like this.

You'll definitely find support here. Losing that much weight is a big deal, and if you are looking for some motivation that you CAN do it, I suggest you watch this guy's videos on youtube . He is a user on there that was 5' 7", and about 470 pounds, started to youtube his weight loss, and over the course of two years through dieting and exercise he lost over 250 pounds! Thats diet and exercise, no more, no less. He is an inspiration to a LOT of people. And his videos are normally pretty damn good. Hope this helps!
