Hi all,

hope to get catch enthusiasm here and some advice on how to make some changes.

I am male, 49 years old, in good spirits and passively healthy. I currently don't belong to a gym and have limited time to excercise because of work. Will come to that later.
But over the years I have picked up some specific health problems. I am in pain a lot of the time. I feel like I am running out of time to do something about them. I don't smoke, or take drugs and drink moderately.

I have a slipped disc (L5-S1 disc) from about 15 years ago. For years I was able to swim , walk , cycle and even do light weight training despite this and had years virtually pain free but the last year it has been bad and I am now in pain every day.
In addition I know have problems with my left shoulder which is job related, I have had physio and a lot of rest and it is now as good as it is gonna get so it needs strengthening.
