Hello everyone.

well i'm new here and i guess i should say something about myself.

I'm 15 (male), 6'1" or 6'2" (i dunno for sure), and weigh around 265 or 270 (i know i disgust myself too lol) and REALLY REALLY wanna lose this weight.

Well the main reasons are:

because i need to
second because i want to go into the United States Marine Corps after i graduate and i need to lose the weight to meet the physical requirements
and thirdly so people stop making fun of me (even my "friends").

I'm hoping this forum can help me stay motivated so i can eat right and exercise properly. Speaking of which i'm about to go do sprints.

Glad you found your way here. There is a LOT of great information & support.

You have an honorable goal to work towards, doing it for yourself & to become a devil dog! :) I have a few friends in the corp & you certainly do need to train BEFORE getting in to make it more manageable. Best wishes & can't wait to hear how things go for you.
 
Oh & don't even listen to those people who are making fun of you.... I know you have heard this before & I never believed it when people told me, but after high school, life gets completely different. Those "perfect" people, lose themselves & end up just as messed up as the rest of us. Bodies all change. As long as you learn to love who you are you will be ok. Self reliance is key. If you can trust a few people even better, but always remember to hold your head up & be proud.... you are a future MARINE after all! :)

My big brother is a Marine (just got back from a tour in Iraq actually) and i might work out with him so that'll be helpful having someone there to motovate me! ooRAH!
