Hi all!

I am 5'10 and started off Jan 2007 at 215lbs. Luckily I do not have a before picture of me at that weight. It was horrible.. I do not hold my weight well..

Anyhow, at work in January we had a "biggest loser" contest which really helped me lose some weight. I did, and won the contest losing 25lbs in the two months it was going on for. Got down to 190lbs. Well after that I was LAZY, and really had no motivation to continue. So I stopped running, and working out, and got back up to about 200-205lbs in the summer. That is the before pic below..

Before @ 200-205lbs taken in August 2007

After seeing that pic, and knowing that I was too self conscious and depressed to ever get a girlfriend I used that as motivation to lose weight again.. this pic was taken last night after we had set up our x-mas stuff (Thanksgiving tradition is helping clean up the dinner mess and all of us stay to set up the x-mas junk) So Last I weighed myself I was 169.7 yesterday morning before our big feast.

Anyhow, From about August - November I have lost 30+lbs and my goal weight is about 155-160. I am suprised my BMI still says I am overweight at 169.7 or close to it.. GRRRR

Here is my "during" @ 169.7 taken last night p.s. I'm single :D
edit: sorry about the sweater... I was going to put a t-shirt on, but it was cold last night.

well done, although I dont know how you could possibly be considered overweight at 169lbs and 5ft 10 in height. I`m 165lbs and 5ft 7 and some online calculators say I`m overweight but I look and feel perfectly fit and at the right weight, which you are too. I wouldnt take too much notice of certain weight calculators, as they dont take into consideration muscle mass or bodyfat.

Lose the jumper and I dont see you having a problem finding a woman, lol.

Jumper? :) What's that?

Oh, btw, the sweater is like 3 years old when I used to be able to fit it lol..

I haven't bought any skinny clothes except for jeans and t-shirts. I am waiting for xmas to see what I get sweater wise :D

looking great man. bmi is worthless in my opinion, since it doesn't consider bf% and muscle mass

imo your at a good weight for your height. im 5'9'' and 150 and people tell me to gain weight lol

You were handsome before and now.... well.... you're just smokin'. :D Congrats with your weight loss and hopefully during Christmas, you don't recieve reindeer/ santa sweaters. That'll definitely keep you single for a LONG time if you choose to rock them in public. haha! Happy Holidays....

Hi from :eh:
You stopped by my pics, so I thought I should do the same. You have made fantastic progress, and it really shows! Shouldn't be too hard to find a significant other anymore...

Best wishes on your journey and keep up the excellent work!

I don't think you'll have a problem finding anyone (not that you couldn't have before). BUT! I really hope that you find someone that isn't so shallow to only judge your outward appearance. Fitness is good, taking care of yourself is good, but there's more to a person than just the body. You need someone to treat you special. Find someone who isn't shallow, okay??

You look so much happier in the second one too! Congrats on you weight loss and getting the motivation back.. it couldn't have been easy. Hopefully you will get lots of great clothes this year.

I was in the same boat. I'm 5' 9" and used to be 205. I'm now 157. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the BMI. If you wanna be lean your ideal weight would probably be 155-160. Keep it up!
