Got a blender for my birthday, tips?

1 frozen medium banana, broken up into chunks
cup or so of frozen berries: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries. blackberries
1 1/2 cup or so juice (I usually use orange but you can use cranberry, other fruit juices work too but these two are my favorite)

Blended, first in pulses then just blended till it's a smooth consistency. Other possible things you can put in this are protein powder, instant coffee powder, etc. You could also replace the juice with brewed tea of your favorite type for the caffeine and the flavor. It's terribly easy, and delicious. I used to beg my mother to make these for me until I was able to use the blender myself. Now I am sad I've moved out and don't currently have a blender.

Mmmm, I really need to use my blender again soon. It's a much better tool when it's summer. Thanks guys for the recipes. :)

I use mine mostly for smoothies and my favorite one contains orange juice, frozen strawberries, banana, and plain yogurt sometimes.

My favourite smoothie:

handful of frozen strawberries
enough POM brand pure pomegranate blueberry juice (not the stuff that's mixed with apple, grape and pear juice as filler) to cover the strawberries
a few scoops (1/2 cup maybe) of fat free vanilla yogurt

Play with the amounts to get the texture and consistency you like. But that's it. My favourite smoothie. I have it on some mornings with a piece of multigrain toast and natural sunflower/flax seed butter.

Make whey protein shakes! Add fruit, peanut butter, maybe some almonds mmmm and start lifting while drinking all that protein :)
