Good cookbooks?

I cook dinner almost every night and am on the lookout for good cookbooks featuring light/healthy recipes. Any recommendations? I prefer books that list nutritional info (so I can watch calories) and that have a lot of dinner/entree recipes. Thanks in advance!

I don't know about books but recipezaar.com is a great site. You can sort recipes in almost any way you'd like, from ingredients to low calorie stuff. And it has nutritional information.

Though I have fount that some of the nutritional info seems to be a bit dodgy, since regular people post the nutritional stuff. So you gotta use common sense when it comes to it.

Cooking Light cookbooks have a lot of really good recipes - some tend to be a little complicated or use obscure ingredients but check the website - you'll find lots of good stuff there.

For ideas for recipes -I like the rachel ray cookbooks - I persinally find her a twit - but the cookbooks have a lot of really good ideas... just need to be adapted for heathier eating - like use reasonable quantities of olive o il and cheese :D

Thanks for the info,I wanted to buy a cookbook too and I will try the Rachel Ray one..:)

Of all her cookbooks, I like the 365 no repeats the best - it has a ton of easy recipes - that as long as youo use common sense, are healthy...

you might want to also check out everyday food... it's usually in the checkout lane at grocery stores - they have great recipies, almost always have really healthy stuff and have special lite issues, and list your nutritional information for each meal.

Hi, I bought a great cook book recently that I have been really happy with. It is a weight watchers book called "5 Ingredients, 15 Minutes or Less". We have tried several of the recipes and been happy with most of them. It is great for my husband and I b/c we have two small children and it is so nice to get dinner ready so quickly. At the end of each recipe it has all the nutritional info. listed which is really helpful.

Gourmet Nutrition 2.0 came out. You want a great cookbook, you wont be disappointed with this one. I almost want to eat the pictures.

I really enjoy the "Biggest Loser" cookbooks. I think they have 2 or 3 of them now. I received one as a house warming gift and my girlfriend and I have used it countless times. Very good food, easy to prepare, easy to make and you get accurate information about the dish.

I like these too, and you can get the ingredients at a normal super market

Good Recipe Source

I love to cook!! And I am always looking for new things to try. So I use a web site all the time called Allrecipes.com. They have tons of recipes posted by people from all over. It is very user friendly and it also has pictures of most of the recipes. There are ratings from people who have tried the recipes. I usually will take the recipes from the site and make them healthier. I hope you enjoy. Tina
