Good combo?

I have beend doing HITTS one day (30 min) and weights the next day. So alternating. Do I need to do more or less would you say or is this combo good.
Also how many days should I rest and give my body a break and do nothing?
 
It really depends on the over all volume and intensity taht you're working at. Only you know if/when you need a break-listen to your body. Just take a couple days off a week and you should be fine.
 
Evolution is right. Listen to your body--not your mind. read the tell -tale signs of fatigue:

Irritability
Loss of sleep
Loss of appetite
Loss of strength
Enthusasm for the gym

HIIT methods can vary, but I doubt anyone ever hits the proper intensity to gain a HIIT stimuli.
