going to need direction

Ok I am a recovering addict , been clean for a year. With this new life I have started eating massive amounts, from the time I am awake till I got to bed.

I am finding it nearly impossible to curve my appetite so I gave working out a try. Well it is hard for me to work out with my hour's.

I'm new to the area I just moved and and can't fund a work out partner or a wing man to help me finish my goals.

So before I give up and just decide to be a waste of space I figuard I would check this forum out to try and see where this leads. So knowing its time 2 change . How is everyone doing

Many people find it hard to begin a work out program and stay through it to the end.

Maybe you can start a training log here on the forum, and everyday you can come post what you are doing that day to help you reach your goals. This way people here at the forum can help you along the way.

It's good to hear that you are on the right track, now its time to give you an extra boost to get going. Good luck, and if you need help with anything, give a shout.

Sounds like a plan. That's what I need is a game plan for me to stick to. The hours at worked picked up big time so I'm working 6 -12 hour days a week bug think I can make it to the gym at least 3 times . I am going to head over to nutrition area and are if I can figure out how to diet .

What is great here is you did something unusual: you came to this forum and you should keep reading about the topic because you need other healthy minded people (that's called social pressure :)).

If you starve all the time, I don't think exercising will help you because you will starve more. Of course, exercising is great for you, it is great for a lot of aspects in your life. However, I am pretty sure the problem is what you eat. What you need to eat is probably more protein (that's just a guess maybe I am wrong I don't know you).

Try to balance your plate with protein (most likely meat), carbs (rice, potatoe, pasta) and vegetables. Try to stay away from bad sugars and frying, which is very hard for anyone. Reward yourself when you don't take any soft drink on the day or anything you can't stop eating. Food can be very addictive.

Your diet is as much important as your exercising. Try to invest into a diet that makes sense for you (not the one that tell you to cut calories only).

Hope that helps you :)
