Going to lose 160 plus pounds..

Just introducing myself.. Name is Jr.. Current weight of 363 lbs.. Need to be about 210.. 6 foot 2 inch.. From the Los Angeles area.. ANd looking forward to staying committed to this.. I've been up and down my whole life.. but now at age 41.. it's time...

Just take it day by day and it's totally possible...

Make sure your plan is a realistic one... not one that is super low calories and involves extreme exercise... think LIFESTYLE CHANGE and you will get the results you are after.

Age means nothing... Just keep focussed ony our long term goal - where you want to be and if it helps - break it up into mini goals (that personally never worked for me but it is helpful for many people...)

Good for you! And you're ahead of the game in starting this now rather than on New Years :rofl:.

I agree with mal, take it slow and steady, eat less but eat well (nutritious and less processed/less chemicals). Dont do too much too quickly or you're likely to run out of steam before you reach your goal.

Wow.. Thank you all for the support.. I think this is amazing support group. Why I have failed in the past was lack of support.. I just gave up, but somehow think this is different this time.. I have many more tools to help me suceed.. like this Fourm... THANK YOU!!!

I got to add me one of those cool tickers you guys have tracking the weight loss..
 
I think the first step is committing yourself to some plan of attack. Get something down on paper. Do you have any ideas of how you want to go about attacking this?
