Goin' to the movies! :)

Went to see a movie last week, going to see it again today (that 3D one, you know it). Taking my own snacks so I do not have to eat the trash food sold at the snack counter. Taking cauliflower pieces, a few walnuts, a sliced apple, a very small sandwich (really 1/3 a sandwich with meat and a piece of cheese, I added some hummus, Ciabata bread), bottled water. What do you all sneak in as healthy snacks? (p.s. I would not have to sneak in food if they sold healthy food, I would even pay a premium for healthy food sold at the counter)

Dude, if I'm willing to drive all the way out to a movie theater and then pay $12 bucks just to see a movie when I get there, I'm deeeeefinitely willing to eat some salty, buttery ass popcorn and some Milk Duds.

Eating healthy at a movie theater? Anti-American.

You think that is actually BUTTER they put on the popcorn? Think again muchacho, it is something more like recycled lawnmower grease, LOL> :biggrinjester:

When I worked at a theater, I got free candy/popcorn/drinks. I would get a giant tub of popcorn that I'd cook myself (I put in twice as much oil in the
kernals). A 32oz refillable soda cup full of dr. pepper. 2 box of reese's pieces.

I doubt I could ever bring in healthy food to a movie theater. It's just baked in my mind - Theater + Popcorn. :)

I don't think I've eaten any concession food at a movie theater since I was 16. I just am morally opposed to buying anything that has such a high markup and is a consumable product. I can justify spending money on something if it is actually going to last a while, but I don't want to spend $25 in something terrible for me that I'm just going to crap out later.

Quick, somebody put that on a Hallmark card.

I have to admit... I hardly ever go to the movies to... see a movie! I end up going for the popcorn. I'm not sure why I'm willing to pay $6 for a movie than another $5 for a bag of popcorn (then another $4 for a drink) that I'll have to share, and suffer through a 90-120 minute movie just so I can snack on said popcorn...

I don't know what's wrong with me :D

Last time I dieted though, I DID sneak in healthy foods to the theater (though I missed the popcorn terribly) however... it was the one and only time I've ever gotten caught *lol* Man was that embarrassing! And they took my food from me :( they wouldn't even let me keep my water

First Wild Vulpix I love your name! lol and second, for me it's never been the popcorn, its those freaking blue fanta icee things omg they're so good!
