Alrighty girls, you ready to get started? We have until Oct 7th to get our butts in gear and drop 5 lbs each. Our group has 5 people so our total weightloss goal is 25 lbs. I really want those postcards so I'm going to be doing my very best. :) Our group consists of:

We're going to do it girls! As long as you keep coming back to post, I'll be more than happy to give you all the support that you can handle. :)

Ok now for my personal goal... I'm 187.8 now, which puts my goal at 182.
I am going to work out AT LEAST 3 times a week and watch what I eat.

OK girls we can do this! no cheating - drink that water - get that exercise.

My plan:
food - 1200-1500 cal a day divided up into 6 meals.
exercise - some form of cardio exercise everyday strength at least 5xs a week
water at least 64 oz a day

Stay strong this weekend!

Hey Group 2!!!!!
I plan on following my plan to a "t" for the next 2 weeks....I am REALLY into it this time. I plan on weighing myself on the 30th..( just to see where I stand)...so I know whether to increase the exercise...etc....then I wont weigh myself until the 7th.....

If you havnt read my other post....I stated that today I weighed in at 304...that is a 3.5lbs loss since Wed....and I find that odd....Maybe it can happen....

Last night..I wrote exactly what I would be eating today AND at what times.....I like to be on a schedule if I can help it.....It allows me not to get too hungry (and want to eat everything in site.)
I will be drinking AT LEAST 64 oz of water a day..( if not more)...I will have 2 glasses of green tea...one diet coke, and one 8oz of O.J....and two 8 oz of choc. f.f. milk
( and yes..I am abel to drink all of thatl..lol)
I have it to where I will get at least 5 to 6 servings of fruits and veggies a day....
I will eat bran cereal, whole wheat bread...for some fullfilling fiber....
I have turkey meat, eggs, and beans and chicken plus tuna for my protein...
I have all my vitamins and suppliments lined up in the pill box.
I will walk at least 3.4 miles and do 30 minutes of curves everday ( except on Sunday)

Lets show everyone on the forum, our family/friends..and ourselves what we got!!!!!
( I think if we tried REALLY hard we could lose 30lbs as a group).....

We can lose the weight. Obviously we have the commitment so now we just have to put it in action. This next week I should be fine, I've go lots to do to get ready for our trip. That will keep me busy. Now, the 1st through the 7th is really going to be more difficult. I won't have access to my computer. Wish I had a laptop to take with me. I'm going to do alot of walking, touring the city and hopefully discovering some good bank fishing as well. Our money is going to be tight for the trip due to the gas expenses, so at least I know I won't be snacking all the time. Just wish I was able to keep up here during that time. Don't worry though. I won't let you down. I won't be home until evening of the 8th. When are we supposed to check in with our weights?

Kccruz...wow, what a plan! You can really drink that much? I wish i could!

ok, I may have a problem. I can weigh on the 7th, but I won't have access to a computer until the 8th. If it's going to mess up anything, I can always wait for the next time around. I don't want to mess up anybody elses success.
 
Of course that's fine with me girl. :) I would never ask you not to participate and I don't think anyone else would either. We're glad to have you and prolonging the weigh in for one day won't hurt. :)

All is well on my part....Ive been making good choices on my eating, getting my fluids in....and yesterday I had Andreas walk with me to Curves!!!!!
He wasnt thrilled about it at first...but after he got down the road a bit and was smelling the cool morning air...he was glad he came!!!.....

Texas- I dont see why there should be a problem of you typing in your weight on the 8th....because your still going to weigh on the 7th. Also..where do you plan on staying in louisiana?....Because down town shreveport has a big library and computer/ internet access....( Bossier city does too)....When it comes to using a library computer you do not have to have a card ( at least the majority).....there is just a time limit...also some hotels are starting to have " computer rooms"...So check it out......( I would tell you to go use my brothers or sisters computer..lol......ding dong..."um yes you dont know me...and your sister has never met me.... But she said I can come over and use your computer while I am here in this area. Dont say no because I am hungry and I will eat you"...lol..lol
Newbride..- Its not always easy to drink all that..( mainly when I dont exercise)...but I try to drink alot of it fast...I chug my water until I cant chug it any more....

Hi! ITs been a hard weeekend for me. I could of done better, could of done worse. I think, for me, I should work hard on loosing weight during the week, and maitianing it during the weekend...or is that not the right attitude? I'm turning it up 200% monday though, I'm determined, we are going to win!!

I hope you all are doing well with your plans. Korrie, just do the best you can on the weekends. forgive yourself if you don't follow your plan, but don't plan on not following it.
Kimberly, that's great you got Andreas to walk with you, maybe he'll do it some more since he enjoyed it. It is always more fun to have someone to walk with.
April, I think it's fine if you record you weigh in on the 8th. I hope you have a lot of fun on your trip. Oh, some hotels have small gyms that you can use. When I have to travel, I try to use the hotel gym.

Amanda, how are you doing this weekend? I hope well!

I did great on Friday, and yesterday I went on my hike! it was supposed to be 6.9 miles and difficult with an average hiking time of 5 hours according to the map. But I think we hiked 7.5 miles in 5 hours because the trail was not blazed well and we lost it and ended up taking a longer route. Oh well, it was a lot of fun. when we finished we hung out at this large grassy area and watched a bunch of dogs having a great time. then did a little shopping, went home showered and got a little more exercise (#10) so quite a day! I ate 1400 cal. but according to my heart rate monitor, i burned 1790 cals hiking.

I have not exercised yet today, i am not sure if i will because i am kinda sore from yesterday. I am also pretty hungry today so it is difficult to stick with my food plan but so far so good.

Oh, I will have temptation tomorrow evening. Jeff and i are supposed to go to a party for one of his collegues who will be getting her doctorate tomorrow. plus, becuase of the party, i won't be able to ride my bike to work.
I promise to you guys that i will do my best to behave at the party though.

Hey everybody, thanks for the understanding on the days. I'm staying at the Days Inn in Shreveport so no extras. Some of the other wives that are going are staying at the Holiday Inn so I'm gonna try to get some time in at the gym there. I will continue to watch my food and if nothing else at least I will definitely be walking. Hey, any suggestions for interesting places to go there? I don't do casinos and I'm not gonna have much money for tourist shopping. I like walking so maybe I'll spend time walking along the river bank. Promise I will post my weigh in as soon as I get home on the 8th. Not sure of the time, I guess it depends on what time we wake up that morning. It's about a 6 1/2 hour drive.

I havnt been there in about six months..but my sister says the river front/ walk is getting really big and nice. There is suppose to a pro bass store there somewhere on Bossier side. You need to go over the neon bridge on the TX. street bridge at night thats kinda neat.........Its sept so I dont know if any festivals will be going on....maybe the Revel or Mudbug Madness........

How are you doing? I hope you all made it through the weekend ok. If not, It is time to kick it into gear. Get that exercise and drink your water. Stick to your food plans. we need to keep it together to win this. I know you can do it!

well i did make it to the gym yesterday and this morning. I am trying to keep my calories low today so I will have some room for the party tonight. I plan to be good, but I have no idea what will be available. if alcohol is available, i may have one drink to relax me. I do not do well at gatherings when i do not know anyone. I get very shy and uncomfortable, but i need to do this for Jeff.

Good luck with tonight girl! I'm sure you'll be fine! I know what you mean though. I had a bridal shower this weekend, and I'm going out to eat tonight with Greg, his mom, and his grandma. We're going to an Italian place for pizza. His mom wanted to take us out to dinner on a night when we have nothing going on (amazing that that ever happens). So i'm going to do as best as I can...for Group 2!!! :) I'll think of you girls and the postcard as I'm eating so that I don't over indulge.
 
I did really good today. Actually did both Richard Simmons tapes today. Also was very good with eating. Just finished my last drink of my 100 oz of water.

I had a great day yest. and really took one for the team. I had to go to a meeting, and I decided to walk, it turned out to be close to 2 miles of walking! Then my hubby wanted me to get him some junk, so I did,but I got grapes for myself!

Sounds like our group is really trying at this!!!!!!.......Ive exercised everday since Friday( except Sundays are my body rest days).....Fluid intake wonderful......food....I dont think I have been eating enough...yet my stomach seems bloated.....I dont want to take any kind of water pill becaus I save those for my monthly visit if I need them.........And bathroom stops have been up to par.....Any suggestions group 2?

Amanda and julieann...I hope you didnt OVER indulge at your get togethers......But if so.....crank up the exercise a notch!!!
Texas.....excellent on the h20!!!!.......I dont know about you...but the more I drink it ...the more I crave it.....
And Newbride.....way to go ..on the walk..and grapes...I am so proud of you!!!!!!...Its so hard watching somebody else eat junk food....but you made the smarter and better choice....and it will end up showing that you have!!!!!
 
well, I did not do as well as i wanted to, but i did not do too bad. I only ate 660 cals before the party so i had some to spare. I did have two drinks though, 1 champagne and 1 red wine. I had more fun than i thought i would. I was able to talk about a couple of my favorite subjects - hiking and California.

well on to another day!
my exercise today: ride to and from work 400 cals. no gym, i needed my sleep! I will go tomorrow though.

It sounds like everyone is off to a great start for the week. I bet we win!
I have received a lot of encouragement from you guys (thank you) and that you think i will help win, but I do not lose weight very easily. It may seem like I do a lot of exercise, but if I did not work out this hard I would actually gain weight. I am actually thinking about having my thyroid checked out. anyway, i just don't want to dissapoint you guys if i do not have a big loss. But i do promise to give this everything ive got.
