Getting it back. And hello. :)

Hey all -

New here (or to any online weight-forum!) - and kind of excited to try out a community environment. Realized after going to the doctor that I have put on a considerable amount of weight, and put "weight-loss" on my to-do list. Well, that was a few months ago. I know I have lost some, but I want to really buckle down and get the job done. I don't have a scale at home, and although I know I should, I am just going to track by measurements for now. Have started a food diary (again). My biggest hurdle is definitely going to be my sweet-tooth and baking habit. I bake all the time, and am quite good at it thank you very much. ^.^ For a couple of weeks I specifically didn't keep flour or sugar, but turns out you can bake (unhealthy stuff) equally well without out. Also the sweet-tooth that I definitely share with another person in my family. As he pointed out "at least we have a high metabolism." Well - mine is definitely dropping. Bummer.

Anyway - starting measurements (hopefully I can put these here)...
Upper arm: 11.75"
Upper thigh: 24.5"
Hips: 39.5"
Waist: 28.5"
Bust: 36"
Calf: 14.75"
Above knee: 16.5"
Height: 5'8"

My goal is to get back to my lower measurement days of:
Upper arm: 10"
Upper thigh: 21"
Hips: 35"
Waist: 25"
Bust: Well - I guess I can't expect it to stay the same and lose everywhere else. :) When I had these measurements it was 34"
Calf: 13"

My goal is to make a committed lifestyle change and stop using the excuses that I currently rely on: busy-ness and stress. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction since I am finally recognizing and confronting my weight gain, instead of just ignoring it and pretending it never happened.
Wish me luck?
And good to "meet" you all!

well good luck then !! :)

and oh i got the sweet tooth too ;) .. and cant seem to remove sweet food completely, still treat myself with light chocolate puddings, ice cream etc..

see you around!

Hi! I'm a newbie too! We can do this! I also love to bake, since I started dieting I still bake a biscuit every morning for my chickens, they love it! I do make a sugar free banana pudding and treat myself sometimes. Good luck! Cheryl
