Getting hungry

So does anybody else get days where it seems like your always hungry no matter what. The last two days my meals did not seem to fill me up. I knew I was full and didn't need to eat and tried to keep my mind off of food by chewing gum. But that only lasts for so long. Is there anything else I can do.

I snack on Kosher Dill pickles if I start feeling like that. They have 0 calories and are something to eat at least.

Hey Jmann8686,

I try to drink water or snack on yogurt. The drink makes me "think," I'm full and the yogurt is at least low in calories, hope that helps. :)

Yes I drink water all day. I have made it the most important think in my diet. I try to drink any where from 75oz to 100oz of water a day. And yes that does help me. And snacking on a pickle I like that idea.

Lots of people mistake feelings of thirst for being hungry - so no amount of food will stop the feeling. Drinking water is therefore a very good thing to do.

Lots of people do not realise that heavier people should be drinking more than their thin counterpart. The recommended level is 1 ounce of water for every 2 pounds that you weigh.

Charis - Eating yummy things is not the best solution whenever you are feeling hungry. That tends to be what made us fat in the first place... I hope that your seafood is cooked in a healthy way. Protein does tend to be filling though.

Try having a low calorie broth based soup! I always have some miso soup paste in the fridge. Boil a couple cups of hot water and throw in some green onion and mix the paste in and your good to go! something warm and filling in your stomach. Watch the sodium though! It is pretty high in sodium.. also i recommend picking one without msg

I don't see hunger as a bad thing anymore. It's become a feeling that lets me know that I'm on the right track.
