hey everyone,
i just found this site today, which must be some sort of sign, because i was just talking to a friend about how i want to get back to the figure i had before i had my kids...i know a lot of you reading this are trying to do the same thing, and i know that we can all empower each other to reach our goals. one thing that encouraged me to get healthy again was looking at some old pictures, my wedding picture in particular. it's hard to believe that only 6 years ago i had such a body! i know i can get to that point again, but i also know it's not as easy as it used to be to shed a few pounds. i don't have a lot of time to exercise, so mostly i'll be doing things like drinking more water, eating less carbs (i'll eat anything that's made with bread!), and more fruits and vegetables. i welcome any comments, and anyone who's in the same position as me, let me know...we are not alone in our struggles, and we can share in our victories, as well!!
good luck, talk to you all soon!!
oh, how do i create the cool weight charts that alot of you have at the ends of your entries? i love those, and they are inspiring to see!
thanks,
tonya

Hi and Welcome!!
There are a lot of people on this board that are in the same position as you. You should start a diary and meet some new people that are in your specific situation. But all of us are here to lose weight or get in shape. You can do this, and we are all here for each other!! Welcome and good luck!!

Hi and Welcome!!

Today is a great day to start! If you are wanting the a ticker, just click on mine and it should take you to the ticker factory. It has a diet section. Then paste the tagline in your signature which can be found under User CP (up by FAQ).

ok, so i started a diary of my own...i've been reading a lot of others, too, and am able to relate to so many other people!! whether we want to lose 20 pounds, or 200 pounds, this is such a great place for the kind of encouragement that comes from personal experience...we can all learn from each others successes as well as failures...i heard somewhere that "there are no failures, only outcomes". so, if it's not the outcome you want, try a different approach, figure out a new gameplan and try again. when my kids come up to me and tell me that they can't do something, i always tell them "well, try it again"...it's time for me to take my own advice, and try to lose weight again...and again and again and again if need be...until i reach my goal. i think with the support of everyone here, i may actually do it this time!

That's a great attitude! I agree that you need to put in the work to get the results. I'm gonna post my goals up when I start my diary but I'll be monitoring my progress and tweaking my programme here and there if I think it's not quite on track!

well, the kids started back to school today, so i think it will be much easier now to get back into a "routine"...scheduled eating times, healthier snacks, etc...it's so crazy when school's out, and we have no set schedules...we do a lot of snacking, usually not very healthy because we're all in "vacation mode". off to drink more water!!
