Frustration..

Have you ever seen those ads... " Penny lost 32 pounds and went from a 22 to a size 4!!".. I have only gone from a tight 19 to a 14 and have lost 42 pounds. It's so frustrating to me. I guess at this point I will see more results as I leave the 180's, I just feel I could pull my hair out hearing how fast some people lose weight and how small they get, when I am working my a** off. Good things come to those who wait right? lol

that's them - you are you...

other people can "eat whatever they want and never gain an ounce" whilethe rest of us have to be careful...

Every body is different -- life is entirrely too short to get fussed over what other people are doing becuase you have no idea what they're really doing...

Do what you can do for yourself and keep going forward

Penny maybe went from an extremely loose 22 to a very tight size 4. Or maybe they just made the whole thing up. :)

I'm down close to 70 pounds; started out in a slightly-loose 18 (Lands End, which tends to run large, so maybe as large as a 20 - or even a 22, if I had found a brand that tended to run small). I'm currently wearing a size 6 (Lee Riders, which also tend to run large), and could possibly find a 4 that fit me if it had exactly the right cut. (I actually have a size 4 dress that fits me fine, because I carry my weight in my thighs and it has a full skirt). 32 pounds down? Still in size 16.

I'm with ya sister! I also hear people who are close to my weight and are wearing smaller sizes, but again they probably have a different build than I do and carry their weight differently. As someone else said, that is them, this is me.

I just try to celebrate the little moments, like the jeans I wore a few months ago being loose now! All in good time for the rest of it!

Oh, and yes I do want to slap the people on TV. I also try to remember, they are selling a product that they want people to buy. They are not going to show the people that didn't lose at all or not very much. Oh, and I think my favorite one is "I was a size 10 and now I'm a size 2. Thanks whatever brand they were selling" I'm thinking, give me a break....10 is smaller than the average American woman!! Gee, I wonder why we have a complex about our weight????

Yep totally with you. If you've ever seen the video Dove made to show how photoshopped photos are in magazines you will likely have as little faith in advertising as I do. These ads probably make up the stats to sell their products. I'm sure less people would buy it if the ad said "Peggy was a size 18, after using our product for just three months she is now a size 14... though she has to use a coat hanger to get the zip up and can't sit down or else she loses the ability to breathe". :)
