Frustrated....

I am on my way to losing those last few pounds. I did the Micheal Thurmond diet and lost a good 45 pounds. Then my weight loss became stagnant at 141 and the scale did not move. I then started the Medifast diet; figured that would help me break my pleateau and also I was getting bored of counting calories and doing all that cooking....but the scale still shows 138.5 I workout 6 times a week do cardio, strength..why is it not moving? I can feel my pants go loose...I was a size 14 then a size 4 and now my size 4 pants are falling off...I can now fit into a 2. I feel skinny but my scale does not show...I know I am losing inches but all that inch loss and fat loss should amount to some wt loss. I know they also say that muscle weighs more than fat..but it is just frustrating to stick to your diet 100% be good; excercise daily no matter if your friends have planned to do something fun but you can't go because your workout is your priority after so much when you dont see results it frustrates you.

Well but I decided; I am not going to give up. I will continue doing what I am doing because I know I am doing all the right things and the scale one day will have to budge.

Lord have mercy. Any advise would be welcome.

Sounds like your doing so well losing inches...I don't know who started this rubbish that muscle weighs more than fat  ....1 pound of fat weighs the same as 1 pound of muscle....muscle looks smaller ;) ...and that is what you are looking too, keep up the good work.:D

I have some advice, but you might not like it....

Quit looking at the d@mn scale!!!! It doesn't matter, I promise. You're in a size 2!!

I think Im going to have to agree with DariQueen on this one! Girl, you are a size two and 138 lbs! You have come so far and with great success! At 138 lbs the smallest I've ever been was a size 8! So be proud of what you have accomplished. Oh, and throw that darn scale out!! :)

Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration!

I agree also at 140 ish, the smallest i was into was a 7 also so u must be doing something right or maybe your scale is wrong :) !!! keep up the GREAT work, your an inspiration

Thanks all. Your support really keeps me going. You know come to think of it; the last time I was 140 I was also a size 8 never a size 2. Maybe its my scale but it can't be because I have two scales, one digital and another analog and both show the same and even my gym scale shows the same. Well I guess I should be happy that atleast it is not moving up. Also, should be thrilled on getting into a size 2 which was a dream of mine......:D .

Maybe you're body just found where it's comfortable at. I can definitely say I wouldn't have any complaints at a size 2.

Hi - why are you fixated on the weight? Have you checked your body fat percentage? I am pretty sure that you lost fat while your weight was constant. Think about it this way.. at some point, you get where you can't loose any more weight unless you cut off a bone! lol. What matters is not weight, it's body composition and you sound to be very healthy.
And btw - while 1 lbs of fat - 1lbs of muscle, they have different densities! that is, 1lbs of fat is bigger than 1lbs of muscle! So when people say that muscle is heavier than fat, it's no bs, but whatthey mean is per unit of volume. In other words, if you have 25% body fat and weigth 150lbs you will look fatter (and be unhealthier) than 17% body fat and weigh exactly the same 150lbs.
