FRUSTRATED about Weight Loss

where do i begin, lets see...ive always been a little over weight since i was younger....my highest point was 186 and im 5'6. I started a diet and lost 25 pounds in 4 months. Then i gained back 5 of them..I signed up for the gym which i go 6 times a week. I warm up for 5-10 mins do 30 mins of light weight training (high reps) then do cardio for 20-35 mins then stretch. I also have started eating more smaller meals and watching what im putting in my body, i try and eat 6 small meals a day. since i have started this i have gained 4 pounds. I do understand what im doing wrong...i only drink water and green tea. someone help me!! so frustrating...makes me feel like i wont be able to achieve getting in shape.

I just got a diet journal...and i think im eating around 1500 maybe even a little less on some days...im not sure...im going to go buy a bmi scale and a food scale today to help me know exactly what im eating

Measuring and tracking your food will be a big help in learning where you are at dietwise. That said, since weight loss is your goal, you might want to check these factors: diet, NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Therogenesis - basically getting off your butt and moving around), sleep, hydration and workouts, in that order. To help you maintain (or even slightly increase your muscle mass), consider adding some low rep/higher weight workouts into the mix.

I agree, I have done a lot of research on the right ways to do this...but even applying all of those factors, i am still struggling. I guess i will just be more strict with what i eat. I was very strict at one point but now i will never be able to eat tuna again LOL :eating:
