A short intro would be a good idea I guess. I'm 22 and just graduated from college. I'm working in the Charlotte, NC area and just trying to enjoy everything life has to offer. I've played football almost my entire life (also did wrestling for four years in high school and played some other sports) and I just got done with my college career. It was a fantastic time; I made friends and unbelievable memories I'll have for the rest of my life.
I should mention I played offensive line for the past 8 years, so I've always been a big guy. I'm about 6'1" and for college my playing weight was between 260 and 285 (with a high of 296). Yea I was big but I was also strong, well-define and pretty quick on my feet. I was never really fat but once my final season ended I knew it was time to drop the excess weight. I know no matter how strong you are a lot of excess body fat can crush your knees and lead to health problems down the road.
So I started dieting. I have been working out for roughly 8 years and I had good definition even with the weight so I knew if I could drop the weight and continue to work out and run I could one day have that body I've always wanted.
I started losing the weight around December, and to date I've lost almost 60 pounds. It's been quite a ride but I'll tell you there's few things in life as exciting as seeing your hard work pay off like it is for me now. I'm eating much healthier, running frequently, and feeling just better in general. Unfortunately I don't have a gym membership (I grew accustomed to having a top of the line athletic training facility on campus at my disposable whenever I wanted it, so paying for one frustrates me), but I do have a resistance band, pull up bar and I do lots of push ups.
I am planning on moving in a couple months and when I do the first thing I want to do is find a good gym so I can get back into Olympic lifting so I can get my numbers back up to where they were before and continue to build my dream body.
Anyway, here are some before and after photos I took. Sorry most of them I just took off Facebook and aren't the best at showing off the weight loss, but I think you can get the idea. For some reason msot photos I have are from the before phase, and I don't have any of me at my current weight, I'll take some soon enough.
Summer of 2009:
During my senior season:
25 lbs gone (about 260):
About 45 pounds gone (240 ish):

Just hit 226 so I'll try and get some photos to put up soon.
Thanks, and sorry for being so long winded,
Mark
