Unfortunately it is not clear from your question which part of your leg was broken in your previous injury.
Given the length of time that has elapsed since your fracture, it is relatively unlikely to be a causative factor in your present symptoms.
Your pain could be related to a number of different problems involving the muscles, tendons, bones and joints of the leg.
It is possible to fracture a long bone of the forefoot (metatarsal) with excessive weight bearing exercise, classically recorded on prolonged military manoeuvres, hence known as a 'march fracture'.
Otherwise, it is unusual to break a leg bone through what would be thought of as normal activity, unless there is an abnormality of the underlying bone. This is then termed a pathological fracture.
As your livelihood depends in part upon pain-free mobility, I recommend you arrange to have the problem assessed by your doctor, who will be able to examine you and offer their opinion as to the diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
