Hey there,

I was just wondering... how long do you guys actually stay on for? Because aren't we all meant to be out "there", and not on our bummies?

Apart from the fact of helping others, which is the best reason ever, has it ever hit you that in the time you've spent on the PC you could have run a mile?

Just a bit curious. :/

I find time to do my exersices and take care of family 1st!
I hop on and off all day when I want a break or have a minutes
peice. Also not be rude but we only can run so many miles you
must not have any free time. Tammy

Is this serious? I am on here for hours on end. How about you take your shirt off and I take mine off, and let's see?

Being in shape does not take 8 hours a day.

Is this open for anyone that wants to join? ;) sry =\ lol

Yea, I have probably one of the bussiest lives of people on these forums, but at 9 at night while catching up on some homework...it's not hard to check a few sites. It's called multi tasking =]

hey..... mind ya bussiness!!! I hit this site at least once a day or anytime i feel i need a boost.......instead of an icecream cone or a bag of chips, I'll take a couple min. and boost my resolve!!!!
I doubt anyone is here all day long........I do most of my posting at night......and i exercse too and
Steve.....Being in shape does not take 8 hours a day.
Yeah!!!!

I'm on here at least an hour a day. I come here on and off. But I agree with the previous poster. It doesn't take a lot of time to do your necessary daily exercise, and you can spend the rest of the time however you please. :)

I spend at least an hour a day on here, trying to support others. I hop in and out throughout the day, while the kids are napping, while I'm watching tv, whatever.

And I'm still losing weight. Go figure.

You absolutely right!

I think I am going to have to change my whole training routine now. I spend at least 5 hours between all the forums I'm on when I could spend all that time in the gym. What was I thinking!

I sit in front of a computer all day long for work - and this is usually one of the windows that's open while i'm supposed to be paying attention on a conference call, or i'll pop over here when i can't make code do what it's supposed to do.. I think my customers would get peeved if i were todrop everything and go for a jog around the block. :D

In the time you took to start this thread, you could have run - oh say - 100 yards at least -why didn't you :D

LOL Mal!

Actually, once the spring comes, I will be going out for walks more...And I can't wait for that. But there's no room in my tiny living room to do anything, especially while the kids are here.

Not that I need to excuse myself to anyone.

my business card reads systems and software enginneer - but i think they spelled it correctly - i do some code writing, but not high end stuff - a lot of sql code to increase laziness in my user base.. (how many people can i automate out of a job :D )

Oh man, Steve started an "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" post - and I almost missed it!

As for the original question...
My computer is in my kitchen.
I used to turn to food - now I turn to my computer.

Oh, and I do exercise from time to time :p

you mean when you aren't out walking 13 miles in 2 hours -you fit some exercise in?? :D I was gonna say, man you're a lazy girl :D

LOL! 2 hours - as IF!
But, you know - I didn't want anyone to think I wasn't at my computer alllll day ;)

I think you would be extremely surprised to see how many people claim to have a supposedly extremely hard time losing weight and say that they don't have time to exercise, yet they're doing stuff like crying on a forum like this for an hour or more a day during their spare time and don't even realize it. I think all that this guy was trying to say was that maybe those people should spend less time doing stuff like this and more time working out. Obviously he was not referring to you.

I used to help with a weight loss class at my church. It turned into the same situation and I ended up quitting. These folks would come in at 6:30 PM and wouldn't get out until nearly 8 PM. Basically it turned into gossip time, and they would chit-chat and cry on each other's shoulders nearly the entire time, and usually the "instructor" would give some supposed tips for education. The last time I attended this tip consisted of "Enjoy your food", with 2 sentences explaining why. That was it. An hour and a half. Afterwards I cornered her by herself and also separately another lady whose idea it was to put the class together and asked them if they realized that they could have had a whole lot of cardio in during that time period instead and that time spent would be MUCH better, and they seemed insulted. It's quite ridiculous.

So yes, sometimes you do have to ask these questions, so I agree with the idea that he's getting at 100%.

The joke at my place of employ is that if we could afford robots, we'd use them. *grin* I am a programmer, and spend my entire day in front of the computer. I, too, stop in here when the code stops making sense.

on any given day - robots would be way less tiresome and demanding... just reboot them or unpug them when they get really whiney.. :D

yeah well this is a WEIGHT LOSS FORUM not an "I want some one to criticize me for comming here forum", we are all at diffrent stages in our weight loss and sometimes just getting some understanding and postitive feedback can be a spring board in to a healthyer life style.........not every one on here can do exercise for and hour, or even half an hour, or even 15min, can you relate??? If not.... you are probally posting in the wrong forum!!!! If instead of eating you are here posting......well than thats AWSOME and good for you!!!!
