Greetings!

My name is Dan and as you can see I am from Ohio. I am a internet Forum junkie. They are always the best places to go to find out the best info.

Anyways, I have joined because I use this site as a great resource for weight loss and health. I am a Veteran and former HS Athlete. I used to be in great shape. However, at age 34 with a sedentary job I have gained a lot of weight. Last April I was up to 227 lbs, but now I am at 204. My ultimate goal is 170 by Dec. 31. The past month I have really kicked it into high gear and have lost 15 pounds.

Anyways, thanks for having me and I look forward to all the great insight!

Welcome to the forum.

The challenges are a great way of making friends - as are clubs.

If exercise is going to be central to your project - you may want to check out the challenge that my friend Cord is kicking off. It is all about logging exercise...

Starting a diary and checking other peoples diaries leaving messages there is another brilliant way of making friends. We cannot have too many friends. They form the support network that keeps us on track (or puts us back on track after slip ups) because we all have tough days every so often...
