For those in the 150's...

Four measly pounds to go and I will be in the 140's for the first time since I was a junior in high school (almost 4 years ago). Can't wait!!!!!! Good luck everyone!

Why is it when I'm overweight I don't feel fat, yet when I start losing weight, I feel huge? I've gone from 165 to 159 in a couple weeks and that is awesome. But now I feel really huge.
The elliptical trainer is going to take me out of the 150s and then jogging's going to take me through the 140s. This is where I gotta chant "the journey not the destination", "the journey not the destination", "the journey not the destination."

2Skinny- I love that! I also love how you said the exercise will take you through the 140s- very inspiring.

I totally know what you're saying about feeling fat even though you've gone down in weight....I tried on some clothes today and totally felt fat while doing it.... so I can totally relate.

Let's concentrate!!

Hi, and a happy Friday to all of you!
The weekend is upon us...so let's all make a decision to be careful with our calories! Weekends can be chaotic here, so I MUST plan for that.
Think of how good it will feel to be in the 140s!!
Here we come :)

Well, I weighed myself today and lost less than a pound over the last week. I went from 159.5 to 158.75. Oh well. I did have junk at the movies last Saturday and a cheeseburger and fries for my birthday supper. Plus, I only went to the gym 3 Xs instead of my usual 5Xs. That really goes to show how important it is to string several days of eating within caloric range and exercise ... that's what brings results. Consistency.

When I ask myself why it wasn't the best of weeks, I remember an extremely stressful event that occured last Saturday and a meeting at work on Monday that was awful. Food has been a comfort AND a reward in my life. I feel good about tonight's choices. Felt like eating out, but didn't. Didn't feel like exercising, but went to the gym and burned 500 cals. Now I'm fighting junk food temptations, but feel pretty sure I'll be okay...because I am not hungry in the least. Some days the temptations follow me right through the day...and turning them down, in each and every moment is a success story.

Good for you 2Skinny. The more you say no to your cravings the easier it gets. The more nights you feel accomplished by what you've done (or haven't done) during the day, the closer you get to your goal. Congrats!

Keep On!

Wow, 2skinny, a pound is great news!
It's so good that you are aware of your choices and your reasons for eating. When things get crazy and stressful, it seems natural to go eat something...we have probably all experienced the same things.
Today is another day to stay in our calorie ranges and do the things we know to do.
Success, everybody!
Cheryl :)

Ugh! I'm struggling ladies. Gave in to cravings over the weekend and was resolved to get back on track today with eating on plan and going to the gym...failed on both counts. Here's to DOING not trying, tomorrow.

Yippee!

I'm so excited! Today the scale teeter-tottered between 150 and 149.5, and landed on 149.5!!!!!:D
I'm not going to count this as being the end of the 150s because I know it will most likely go back & forth for awhile. I'm not a fast loser...
If I can do this, SO CAN YOU!!!
Let's all have a good day & be healthy!:)

Waah.

As I rather expected, I'm back at 150.5 this am.
Oh well, bump bump it's still down from where I started!!:)

i have a question. i know you aren't really supposed to go under 1200 cals a day, but what if the day is ending and you haven't had that much? if you're not hungry, should you force something down? or is going under that goal for that day okay?

I think it's ok to be under calories once in a blue moon. :)

Painted, you're still a member of the club!

I'm down .2 of a pound today... heehee. I said I wanted 156 today and well, I made it sortof. :) 156.8 It so totally still counts as 156!

if it's the very end of the day, then I wouldn't worry about it. 1200 cals should be easily attainable with the right amount of proteins, fiber and vitamins/minerals in your diet. I would suggesting setting a higher caloric range like 1700-1900. Exercise (and the hunger afterwards) will help caloric intake.
