Food/Excercise

This morning around 5 i had to study for my tests i had today so for my breakfast i just munched on hard sourdough fat free pretzels 90 calories each pretzel i didnt eat many they was just all broken up so i dont know how many i ate but i munched on them till around 6 and then for lunch i had an orange a baked pretzel a few bites of chili and 10 crackers dipped into my chili then for my snack i had a few crumbs of pretzels again not even a full pretzel then for dinner i had a stir fry mix from schwans and my mom added chicken to it and also white rice i had 2 meidum sized plates Good Healthy Day?? Or Bad Un-healthy day??? And now 2 hours later after eating my dinner i feel hungry but my stomach feels so huge like it noramlly does after i eat anymore because when i started this 5-6 meals thing i didnt think i felt like my stomach was always this huge feeling and now doing this 5-6 meal thing makes me feel even bigger i mean im not that big just chubby on my belly and anymore my stomach has been lookin like its gettin bigger now but my weight is the same and no im not one of those people that are skinny and goo ewww im so fat im not like that i swear....can u give me some help on why its doing this on what i should do? and now that i am hungry im not gonna eat anything because i dont wanna feel like i feel right now even though i am hungry its so uncomfertable even more than being hungry please help me i ran a mile today and doesnt seem like it helped me at all.

Also can someone help me with this i have been running for almost 2 n half months 1 month outside then 1 month inside because of winter and the past few weeks outside again even though its still cold and when i was doing it outside the first month i was still eating the school meals that had chicken fingers and fries and i lost weight i dont know how but i did and now i still run i skip 2 days a week and eat really healthy i have only 1 snack a week and/or i go out to eat at a restraunt but get a healthy meal least i try and now i seem not to be losing anymore weight and i do only weigh 137 but a big 137 i still have a chubby belly can anyone help me on this????
 
well first of all, i love pretzels, but i consider them a snack! so ur kinda eating more than a snack a week.. next, your protein intake is extremely low(@ least the day you mentioned what you ate). If you're doing moderate workouts or cardio, .5g protein per lb of body weight is needed(~1g : 1kg).. so your muscles probably arent getting any bigger due to lack of protein.. (bigger muscles burn more calories just to exist!!)

your calories in a day seem about average (maybe alil high for 137lbs) but in order to lose weight you must burn more calories than you take in during an entire day.. so maybe try a different type of cardio or run some more? any Q's lemme know!
 
if your hungry... EAT!!! its your bodies way of telling you that your, well hungry, if you dont eat your metabolism will slow down and you will start storing more fat.

it would almost be better to eat the schools food that not eat anything or have the feeling of beening hungry. and that "huge" feeling your getting is mental, eating isnt going to make you bloat unless you have some sort of medical condition, and as mreik said you should really be having more protein. you should possibly look into a protein powder (whey is best) for having after work outs. will help you build muscle and burn calories.

and dont be so worried about calories, i dont count a single calorie, i just eat in moderation and every few hours, then just do some cardio and weight training, and thats working for me
 
the thing is whenever i eat all this meals i feel bad like i am eating tons of food and also could i get that protein powder at wally world (wal-mart) and could i put it in my special k cereal in the morning or what all could i put it in with??? Then the other question i need help with why am i not losing weight....
 
Get ready for this one, are you sitting down? If your eating clean, you can eat more than you think your supposed to.

for instance

2 cups of oatmeal for breakfast, subway 12 inch (yes, 12 inch) roasted chicken sub with veggies and low cal mayo for lunch, a 5 oz piece of chicken breast, medium sized baked potato, green beans, salad with fat free dressing, and 2 pieces of buttered wheat bread is about ---- wait for it ----- 1700 calories!

With a couple of protein shakes in there and another snack, I usually sit around 2200 to 2600 calories, which is enough for me, Im still a bit big. Thats a lot of food.

I totally agree w/ mreik - you're not eating 5-6 meals, you're eating snacks. You need to eat more. You're probably not drinking enough water if you're always feeling so full and bloated.

Instead of the Special K, have a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. It's much healthier for you - it has much more fibre and will fill you up for the same amount of (or less) calories.

I think you should eat more fruits and veggies, too - they'll help fill you up so you're not hungry all the time - and they're healthy and lower in calories than pretzels.

And like Grammaton said, don't count all of your calories and don't be worried about it - as long as you are eating clean foods, and enough of them, you'll lose weight. You are young and shouldn't be worrying about this. And have some patience!!
 
yeah i have never counted calories, its to hard to get a exact number and im to damn lazy to go search for the calories for all the foods i ate, would take so long cause i eat a lot of different things every day.

oatmeal is the best im about to go have some my self, and im gonna add a half scoop of protein powder for protein (der...) and flavour.
 
i know im young to be worrying about this i have just been chubby all of my life and tired of being chubby. So i would like to lose my chubbiness, thats why im so worried about it.
 
ive been fat since i was like 8 years old, and just now im doing something about it, it takes time, but if your starving your self your only going to be slowing down the results you want so bad.

there is no real point to counth calories, just eat when you feel you need to, and eat so it fills you up but dont over eat. take small portions then go eat and if your still hungry go get more you'll get excersise and get the food you need to raise your metabolism, its win, win.
 
everyone keeps saying dont starve yourself IM NOT STARVING MYSELF just look at what all i eat man i have posted it in earlier messages.
 
137 is actually what I myself should weigh...without any added muscle (my long range goal is to be 140 to 150, with muscle), and I'm about 5'11". To be honest, I'm a tad jealous :p


Maybe increase your cardio? Also, might I reccomend Tae Bo Cardio? It's really great, and fun. It gets you really pumped up, allows you to beat the tar out of your stress, it adds muscle, burns calories, and Billy Blanks is just really fun to follow along with. Sometimes I want to choke him because he pushes a tad hard, but the joy about having the video is if you feel you're about to tumble over, then you can stop, take a water break and cool down.
 
yeah under eating is a form of starvation, were not saying your not eating anything we just think you should be eating more for how active you are, and to keep your metabolism up so you can burn fat faster.
 
So you guys are saying me just running a mile or a little bit more 4-6 days a week is very active??? I just posted if i should be excercising more. Oh and Maria Camille03 my 137 weight isnt like a skinny one i still have alot of chubby-ness on my belly i swear this to you.
 
How tall are you, Manderus, if you don't mind me asking?

Maybe cut down on the pretzles and replace them with fruit, veggies, soup, and LOTS of water :)
 
im only 5'2 kinda short thats why if i was taller i wouldnt be this chubby...yea the past 2 days i was really chowing down on pretzels they were so damn good man. I will stop but i have no fruits in my house i ate all of them the one day hell i ate 3 apples and an orange i love apples. but maybe tonight for supper i could have corn hominey and this potato and veggie mix it has only 2g of fat per cup that good or bad? or what should i have for dinner and lunch how bout you guys tell me that. Gimme some options and ill tell ya if i have the food in my house lol
 
just eat a healthy variety of foods, and dont not eat something just cause it has fat in it, your body needs fats, and usually fats arent going to make you fat, its the saturated and trans fats you have to watch out for. i eat at LEAST 3 apples a day. i dont have a clue what "corn hominey" is so i cant comment on it.
 
Corn and Hominey sorry i missed the and part hominey is white i dont know what it is really its just good and its a veggie i think
