Flag Football

Hey guys

I just started playing flag football and im kinda really bad. is there any specific training that I could do to improve my performance? or at least my acceleration running speed?
 
run hills and do short burst power sprints. remember, in football, each play is only about 10 seconds or less, stamina isnt really emphasized too much, speed and acceleration is key.
 
Plyometrics
This is basically high intensity explosive exercises that increase your explosiveness and hence making you faster and more agile. I had to do them all the time when I played football in college. For accelerate the running speed there is no quicker and simpler way to maximize your speed. Every one has a technique or theory. A good speed is depend on your current fitness level, age, gender, etc. Many people focus on achieving target heart rate (THR) in determining what an appropriate speed is :

THR = ((HR max x HR rest) × %Intensity) + HRrest

Here : Intensity should follow the ranges of
Beginner or low fitness level 50 – 60%, Average fitness level 60% – 70%, High fitness level 75% – 85% and HR max is maximum heart rate as professionally determined.

People enjoy doing a running exercise because it helps with weight loss and stress reduction.
