FitTV Has Changed

I don't know if all of you know this but Oprah started her own channel called OWN. Since OWN has officially bought Discovery Health and began on January 1st 2011 Fit TV is now carrying shows from Discovery Health. This, as I'm sure some of you have noticed, means that now when you tune in to Fit TV you will most likely see "I didn't know I was pregnant", "Little People, Small World", "Hoarder", "Dr. G" and other shows like these. Gilad, Sharon Mann, Namaste Yoga, Shimmy and Cathe will be hard to find.
Some people depend on these shows to workout and better themselves. I'm sure there are other people who have been on track only because of Gilad or Sharon Mann. They basically now have to workout at 3am-9am when the show finally airs because during the day FitTV is only showing reality shows. (I'm looking at the guide right now to see what's on...) "Honey we're killing the kids"....:toetap05:...

Temporary? If it is I wonder when this will this be remedied.

I was shocked when I went online yesterday to see when I could work out and it was only in the early morning!

I'm really mad about the fact that Oprah took over Discovery Health. To me, OWN is a channel that should be with the add ons (like, channels above 150), not a network on most basic cable. Oprah's move is really annoying. I miss my workouts.
 
No Kidding!!! I was wondering what the heck was going on with my channels. I thought I was losing my mind. I have DirecTV and was about to call and ask what was going on. Thanks for the info.
 
I know, it sucks, I only got a particular Cable package because of FitTv and the all day workouts at different times, I thought I was losing it when I saw all of those reality crap... sorry I said it, I subscribed to FitTv to find a program that would help me get off the couch and do something, not for more programs where I could sit down and eat while watching, I'm going to stick with it for a little while longer, if this is the permanent line-up well I guess FitTv will no longer be in my lineup, might as well go get Disney, at least the lil ones would be happy.
 
What your doing for your body is wonderful. if you go from such extreme bad habits to such good ones, the results will be very fast.
 
Oprah is a evil evil women / feminazi in my opinion and I have a deep hatred for the crap that she spews out to the world. FitTV have changed and not for the better.I did a quick scan of todays programs on it and nothing is related to fitness at all!!!!
 
I agree that the change in programming is annoying, but there's no need to blame Oprah herself. I doubt she has anything to do with the programming. FitTV may not have been making enough money on its own, so it had to merge. It's just business.
