Hello,
I have recently lost 30 lbs and I have another 44 to go. I went from a size 16 to just recently size 12. My 8 month old son has been my motivation to get down to a healthy weight. I don't want to raise him with the same horrible eating habits that I was raised on. For god's sake no soft drinks at an early age. Coke (cola) has been my addiction well let's face it food has been my drug of choice. Quite the journey to realize why I was eating out of control. One I still struggle with. The more I share the more powerful I feel. It's nice not to keep it a secret anymore.
Thanks for listening and I look forward to getting to know you.
Sincerely,
Simplegrace

mmm coca-cola, but not 4 me

wow your doing great! I too am a coca-cola lover. I switched to diet, which was hard, but it still never did anything for me, so I gave up sodas completely this past month, and Im loosing weight. I agree, I am teaching my kids to eat low fat, and healthy. Congrats on the weight loss so far, your doing great!

Welcome!

Being honest with yourself is a positive first step in the right direction.
Congratulations on your success thus far- great work!

I wanted to add to your comment about cola-
I work in a pediatric dental office and I can't tell you how many children we have to treat for cavities related to soda and juice. I think juice and soda have replaced candy as the number one reason for cavities in children and young adults. All that sugar not only wreaks havoc on a waist line, but on teeth as well.

have fun with the little one- won't be long till you will getting extra exercise by having to chase him around!

Wow

Wow, Simplegrace. Congrats on your weight loss. I can't wait to become a size 12. I wish you luck and hope you get to where you want to be.

Small little increments mean so much!

Thanks you guys for posting replies to me. Your feedback is very important to me. I am taking my weight loss in small little increments and just the other day I dropped into the 160's. 169 and still dropping. It is so inspiring to see the numbers go down. Hard to believe that I started in the high 190's. It's obvious that it's not only about a number on the scale but how well I feel. I am slowly transitioning from my own thoughts of being a "fat girl" to the great feeling of feeling thinner. It is so freeing. Well worth the time and energy that it takes to make this great leap of faith.
