Finding my abs and cheek bones??

Howdy,
I just recently started up at a local gym. I am about 25 lbs over weight and I feel pretty crappy. I have been working out for a few months and have seen some progress, and now feel like picking it up a notch.

My question is, what can I do to target fat loss in my belly and face. Those areas seem to be the worst in fatty-ness. But I do not seem to be losing the weight in those areas.

cheers.

Well, it always seems that where the most fat is on your body, it's the last place to lose it. You really can't spot reduce fat. You can intensify your workout and look more carefully at what your eating. Increase your cardio by 5 minute increments, or so. Also, you can't work out your face. You either have to lose weight all over or see if you are retaining water. Water weight is easy to lose, cut out salt and high sodium foods and add vitamin B6 to your diet, it works for me. Also, what you think is weight in your face may just be your face maturing. People's faces change a lot through out their lifetimes. What kind of work out are your doing on your abs? There's always crunches. I do Pilates and they have pulled in my abs a lot. There is also some weight stuff you can do to tone those abs.

Don't forget you need to be lifting weights. Cardio alone is a crappy way to lose weight.

Don't feel that bad about yourself either, although it may motivate you, its probably doing more harm than good.

Thanks

Thanks for the coments guys.

To answer some items which may help; the fat I want to loose in my face is the double chin thing, and my puffy cheeks.

I am using weights and I am going to pick up the cardio.
As for feeling bad, that is a bit of a stretch. I am 26 6, 4 and weigh 230, so I not huge or nothing, just want to look good naked, lol.

well thanks again.

cheers.

oh and the beer thing is a problem, I love my beer.
