Hi everyone,

I have just started going back to the gym, need to lose a significant amount of weight and am trying to fight off the fatigue...

I'm drinking heaps more water, eating fairly healthy, work in a full time job and have a household to run...On average Im going to the gym @ 4-5 times a week....I love going to the gym, I feel great when Im working out, sometimes i am extrememly hungry after the gym and other times extremely tired....

Are there any tips or hints...or suggestions for any type of supplements....

Cheers :newbie:

Hi debs, I usually eat a banana, granola bar or yogurt before going into the gym. What do you normally eat?

banana are really good alot of tennis players eat them i always have on before i go to a spinning class.
i got to my gym 6times a week for an hour and sometimes i do get tired and i have a day off to repair coz havin a half ass work out isnt really worth it
i just try to push through my theory being if your tired you ve worked hard.
alot depends on what you eat the day before coz thats wat your body is running on xx

Hi guys..thx for the tips, i cant really eat banana's, and im guessing a granola bar is like a meusli bar??!!

If i go to the gym in the morning, it's usually about an hour after breakfast(toast or cereal, fruit/coffee); If I go after work it is @ few hours after lunch (salad/dinner left-overs, sandwich..etc) and i would maybe have a handful of grapes...& i have been drinking heaps of water too......

My one piece of advice would be to make sure you're getting enough Vitamin D. You may be, but if you're not, then it can make you more tired and have a harder time recovering from a gym session.
