here is what i do.. hiit 20 seconds super fast and 40 moderate.. for 30 minutes.. everyday.. i know im not going to see results right away... but maybe just a little for motivation! I NEED HELP AND MOTIVATIONNN.. any tips? words of encouragement?? helppp

Motivation comes from within you and your reasons for wanting to get to your goal...

Help comes from reading the stickied threads ... and askig questons based on your reading..

What does your diet consist of?

You've got to be patient and, as Mal said, eat the right things as well as exercise. When I started I didn't lose an inch OR a pound for a month. In fact, I gained 5 pounds before I started losing.

If you're doing what you need to do, and doing it the right way, it will come off.

and on a completely related but unrelated topic.. .you don't HAVE to wear a bikini - there are plenty of one piece swimsuits that are far sexier looking and will fit you better than a bikini might... why torture yourself - be comfortable in what you're wearing

i actually think my stomach is nice.. nice and flat, its the bum and legs im not too fond of...

and im not going to lie.. i wouldnt say i eat super healthy.. i eat what i want.. which isnt TOO bad.. but isnt too great.. im not a health nut when it comes to eating.. im afraid if i dont take in enough calories/protein.. all that junk.. i will lose muscle instead of fat.. AND my metabolism will slow down.. i just cant cut out the junk food completely.. i'd be miserable. working out sucks enough.

it sounds like you are working out plenty hard enough. maybe you could add some resistence or weight training? your weight isn't bad at all, so maybe a bit of muscle would make you feel better in that bikkini. are you tracking what you eat or just guessing?

i think i have a pretty good amount of muscle.. im just trying to get rid of the fat over top!! haha.. and im not tracking what im eating.. that jsut annoys the hell out of me.. i try to eat as best i can.. but i dont deprive myself of anything

i too am totally unmovitvated this week.... i have my elipitcal at home and have done neither my eliptical or going to the gym and i need to.... i feel so much better when i go........

Make sure you change your exercising plan from time to time so that your body doesn't get too used to it.

Have you tried video games as exercising? this can make your plan more interesting and fun. There are many game types that can help you lose weight.

If you do things right, there is no reason you won't succeed! Good luck!

I bet the amount of fat on your bum and legs is just fine, especially if you're comparing yourself to models. They don't have enough fat on their legs :)

Your motivation lies simply in the fact that you have not obtained the goal you are so desperately trying to achieve.

At least thats what I tell myself whenever i feel down.

KEEP IT UP !!

hey everyone,
i can totally relate to feeling unmotivated. over the past 5 years i've been unmotivated. over the past 2 months i've been trying to return my focus to fitness, but seems i only get one day a week of exercise & then my motivation is gone again.
i'm getting quite stressed out about it !!!

Motivation related to emotional issues

I'm curious as to whether or not anyone else has noticed their motivation changing with shifts in emotional well being? It seems like there must be a link. has anyone found any programs that help look at the emotions behind weight gain?

Spend time on the things that you value.

Give your goals the attention they deserve. Live your life every day trusting the wisdom of your direction.

Knowing you can do it is a great first step to getting anything done.

The next, often tougher step, is turning the words of your wishes into a solid way to make it happen.

You have to learn to MASTER yourself, to become the MASTER of Weight Loss or Weight Gain for YOURSELF.

IMO, there is a "personal science" involved in what a person will tolerate and what they will not tolerate within their lifestyle when it concerns adding in diet and fitness.

I firmly believe in the "personal and individual science" of tracking calories and weight training data and governing this calorie intake and weight training data while watching bodily feedback; and, being able to use the tracking data correctly to manipulate your calorie intake v activity ratio to a personal goal benefit.

The science is learning yourself within the data and tweaking this to one's goal advantage

YOU WILL FEEL THE THUNDER WHEN YOU GET IT RIGHT!

An additional point on one's personal science:

What is ones "Personal Science"?

It is the LEVEL of personal implementation of diet and fitness into ones way of life that solicits a lifestyle change that applies "enough of the person" to achieve the goal they desire. This includes making difficult decisions and easy applied decisions.

It will knock your socks right off your feet, baby! :)

Best wishes to you my friend,

Chillen

Yes, trade a bad habit for a good one. I used to get up with a cup of coffee and a half dozen or so cigarettes. When I get up now, the first thing I do is exercise. This takes the my mind off the butts. When I'm done exercising, I feel so much better, I don't want to have a smoke. I've been doing this for about 3 1/2 weeks now, getting very few cravings for cigarettes (not all gone, but much easier). The best part is that I'm losing weight while quitting smoking. Either one is usually a challenge (face it, I've never been successful with either one on its own before).

i dont think you should be doing HIIT every day. if you are doing it correctly, your body needs time to recover from such an intense workout or you would just be loosing muscle in the process and making yourself look LESS toned.

it seem like you already on the way to lose that weight you wish to lose, i'd say, if you wish to lose it faster, to add a diet perhaps or just really check what you're eating. If you think you're eating healthily then eat even more healthier. But other than that, just give it a little more time and you should see result. If you want it, you'll get it.

P.s.: If it's you on the picture, then let me say you really cute. :)
