Ok, so I'm 16, 6' 1" and around 190 lbs at the moment. I started out at 260 lbs back in Dec, and have been losing the weight by eating properly and exercising most days.
So, for the past 2 months I've hovered at around 190. I'm eating enough calories for sure, if anything I'm eating too many calories (but I don't think enough for me to hover at this weight, given my exercise regime):
So this school year I decided to join the hardest P.E. Class in my highschool- it's a weight training class for the football team, and they work you to the bone. Every day we:
- Run two laps of a football field
- Do stretches, core workouts like sit ups, tabletop, body planks etc.
- Do different runs up and down the stadium stairs, e.g. hop up on one leg, 3 steps up a step facing sideways, all those football techniques
- Go inside, and lift weights (we have workout schedules, like Monday is front squat and leg press, Tuesday is Powerclean and hangclean, as well as push press etc. so that all our muscle groups are worked out)
So lately, I haven't lost any weight. I expected this at first with the weights, but I thought surely some inches would go down too. Nope, I've actually gained a lot of inches, even in places I didn't think I would (around the stomach, around the thigh).
So my inches are the same/higher, my weight is the same/higher, and the pictures of last month vs. this month are only different- as in, my body looks different, but not necessarily less of it, just more shape.
I've still got roughly 40 lbs more to lose before I'd be happy with my weight- so is there any way to still lose fat in a weights class but still gain muscle??
Please help!
