Feel so guilty right now....

I did exactly what I should not have done. I binged on fries, chicken nuggets and beer (only 2 beers). The point is I had at least 1500 calories above my ww points. For no reason other then the fact that I was craving fat. I actually made the fries myself. This morning I was so happy that I lost 2 lbs and got down to 164. So what do I do? I celebrate by doing the exact wrong thing. I actually feel embarassed.
I'm hoping that by putting this out there for all to see, it will help me not do it again. I feel so freakin' guilty, it's not even funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my goodness, I am guilty of doing the same thing at times. We just have to move on from it and make sure we make better choices next time. Good luck to you!

Yeah don't sweat it. As long as you don't make it a habit. Just remember to gain pound you would have to eat 3500 calories above your maintenance, so I think you should be fine. Its actually good to have an occasional binge to shock your metabolism (not that im encouraging you to do so)

After a horrible diet day yesterday I'm back on track. I stayed within my points today and drank lots of water.
I have no idea how it's possible but today when I weighed myself I was two lbs more then yesterday. Like I gained it all overnight. Ugh
I'm staying positive though. Nothing can bring me down. :):):)

Tell me about it. I gained 3 pounds just today by binging and not exercising. One mistake will cost you 3 pounds yet when I work out like crazy for days, I barely lose 1 pound. It's frustrating.

LMAO I think that oversimplifies the process a bit, but hot damn, its FEELS so true. Makes me wanna elbow drop the damn scale.

Hi Joilgirl

It happens to all of us, sometime we just need more. If you know you need something with more fat. With WW's points you can go over your points sometimes, because there are times you may not want all your points. I do this a lot of times, but it averages out at the end of the week. One of the plans you can actually have so many more points over through the week. When you feel you really need something and free food don't help. Just eat a little of that food and get back on the saddle! You can have 20 homemade french fries (about 4 1/2 inches long each) for 10 points. I fix homemade fries often for my DF & DS. I usually have about 5 homemade fries (2.5 points), and one cheeseburger on 35 cal. bread (3 to 4 points). If you would look in your book there are lots of free food you can choose from when you feel you need a little extra (no points).
When I have to have a little something extra. I do more exercise in the even or take a walk!

You guys can do this! It seems so hard at the time, but when you get on the scales, it feels so good.

I wouldn't worry - I'm sure it's just water weight from the salt in the meal or from the sugar in the beer. Water, water, water today and you should be back down tomorrow or the next day. My weight can fluctuate 7 pounds in a day from salt.

Seriously? Wow. In a weird way that actually makes me feel better. LOlz.

I had Chinese food on the weekend and Monday morning my weight was up 7 pounds but it was back down this morning after drinking a lot of water yesterday. I knew it couldn't have been fat because there was no way I ate 24,500 over maintanence on the weekend! It wasn't a great weekend but it wasn't too bad either - except for that damn Chinese food!!
It can be shocking at first to see that bigger number but because I've been weighing myself almost daily since I can remember I've learned to see how my body reacts to different things.

Well, I'm happy to know all of this. I won't panic anymore when I see the number. BTW I love chinese food, and mexican, and....ugh

This happens to me sometimes as well...instead of gaining lbs though I always stay the same... GRRR...

This happened to me 3 weeks ago...it all started with having too much to drink and then I had fast food....then the next morning I needed to soak up the booze so I went out to breafask and had sausage and a belgian waffle soaked with syrup!

EKK... it's alright though, just get back on track!

It's sounds like you're doing great though, good luck!!

I actually did something similar earlier this week; I knew I was going out to grab dinner with a friend, and ate very moderately throughout the day up until we went out. I had mapped out roughly what I was going to order, then dove off that a little bit to enjoy myself. Then, grabbed a giant margarita.

Then, got home and had a few beers.

As easy as it is to feel guilty for it (and believe me, I'm still kicking myself), it really is important to allow yourself the occasional indulgence. As long as you don't make it a habit, you should be absolutely fine.

:)

Thanks for all the support guys. It's been a real strange few days. I'm either very positive about my weight loss or I'm completely mentally disconnected. I think I got a little tired of dieting and all that comes with it. At the same time I'm almost half way to my goal, this is not the time to check out.
Kinda feel like I have a little devil on one shoulder saying eat what you want. And the angel on the other shoulder saying ...lbs, lbs, lbs. LOlz
Some weeks just fly by so easy, other weeks feel like they are a month long. :):):):)

A big hug!

Joilgirl don't give up! I know the feeling, my weight is starting to fluctuate. I don't know if I lost a pound or gained a pound. I feel like throwing the scales out the window sometimes, heee. But lets hang in there and we will see results!! :grouphug:
