Fat loss or muscle loss?

Okay, I've made a couple topics here already but out of all this one may be the most important.

I have lost 60 pounds from working out about 14 months now. That may seem good but I eat a very small amout of calories per day. I'd say it's usually less than 1000 on weekdays and maybe a little over 1000 calories on weekends. I don't know why I eat so little, but I'm not gonna force food down my belly if I'm not hungry.

Now I do lift a little weights, so I do build some muscle, but I'm sure that the amount I'm eating is not healthy (for a male especially). I was wondering, even If I may be losing muscle along with fat, in the long run will the muscle and fat loss eventually lead to me being visably skinny? I can always gain the muscle back, but I don't want much fat.

note: I weigh 160 pounds, there's maybe about 20-30 more pounds to be lost.

Your in starvation mode. You need to lose weight correctly. Yourf body will eat your muscle and stored most of your calories has fat. If you don't change your weight won't mean anything because your body composition will be unbalanced. IE a skinny fat person.

No male should go under 1800cals a day.

I'm 5'8". There are many other guys at my school my height that weigh 130-140 pounds and they aren't super skinny. I guess I shouldn't aim that low though, that's a little exaggerated.

im 5'10" and i weigh 160 pounds, but i do hav a bit of muscle hidden by a bit of fat lol theres others that weigh the same as me at my school who are a lot fatter i guess its just what balance of muscle and fat you have!
