Fat loss inhibitor?

What is one food no matter what we should avoid it ? My question is about one food we might be eating everyday without realising it might actually inhibit our weight loss journey. Say for example : Sugar , which is really obvious but I mean to ask one that are not so obvious yet calorie surplus.
 
There is no food that should be avoided all the time - unless you're allergic. Even sugar. It's all about a healthy balance. A single chocolate a day won't keep you from losing weight.
