If your looking to lose weight you need to do lots of cardio. I would suggest running alot. Gradually, work your way up to an hour. I'd start off running for about 15 to 20 mins. Your overall routine doesn't look bad at all. Just make sure your eating sensibly and get plenty of protein, fruits and veggys, and some fat...because you need fat to burn fat.

Contrary to popular belief, calorie restriction, in the long run, will prevent you from losing weight...

(A) you need to eat more than one meal a day...try: b/fast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack...

(B) what are your gym sessions? cardio only, weights and cardio, full body program, what...?

More info = more tips ;)

Keep up the good work!

Thanx for the feedback!

My usual gym routine is approx. 1hr of aerobic and cardio based activity, 30-45 mins low weights and 15 mins of stomach work.

Its really encouraging to know their are people out there willing to share their knowledge of a worldwide fear - fat!! Cheers!

What is the intesnity of your 1hr cardio session...I would suggest you shorten it and increase the intensity, thereby burning more calories.

What kind of lifting do you do? High reps/low weights...but what kind of reps are we talking? 12-15 or 20+?

Let me know...;)

Have you considered cutting back on your fruit consumption. Fruits, especially fruit juice is very high in sugar, and very high on the glycemic index, and will naturally prevent weight loss. I'm not saying cut all the fruit from your diet, as it is vitamin rich and fiberous, but switch it up for vegtables and you will probably see results.

but isn't fructose a lot easier for body to utilize than glucose? I would hate to tell someone not to snack too much on fruit (obviously there is a limit) or am i on the wrong track?
