I have a question similar to 4li's quick fat loss thread. Are we allowed to mention product names in this section? Anyhow...
I've been having a lot of discussions with a group of people selling an mlm product, Isagenix. Their premise is similar to Ann Gittleman's "Fat Flush Plan" . They claim:
"Works to Drop Weight and Inches . . . QUICKLY . . . Toxins are stored in the FAT in your body. ISAGENIX cleanses and detoxifies your body. When the toxins are released - then the fat does not have any reason to stay - and your body sheds it ! Simple."
Simple? Or stupid? From everything I've read about fat metabolism, it's a little more complicated than that.
Yet they have dozens of people claiming they've lost 5 to 10 lbs of fat a week through body fat flushing. One thread I read claims "17 inches and 11 lbs weight loss in 48 hours" True, they don't claim fat loss, but still....
How are these people losing fat like that if they're not exercising? True, there are no independent lab studies to verify what they claim. But has anyone tried the Fat Flush Plan or have any views on what's really going on?
When you read the reviews of the FFP on Amazon, there are hundreds of people speaking glowingly about the diet. Of course, where are the long term results that the weight stays off? Can you drop fat this way? They even have photos of bodybuilders with b&a pictures that say they got in shape using this companies products. I suspect they are distributors!
