Hi There!

I recently started the OMAD diet and have lost close to 20 pounds. I weighed in at 245lbs, it has been 7days and I now weigh 226lbs.

Today, I decided I would fast for 40 days. With all the changes in my diet, I'm feeling really good. Alot of energy, I am focused, I'm not tired anymore.

We shall see how this goes.

I think if we all gave up eating we would lose weight, but we would not be healthy.
This forum encourages healthy and sustainable approaches to weight-loss, not starving ourselves.

Cate is probably right, losing weight really fast is not worth the risks of a long term fast. Why not just try a low calorie diet, maybe 1,200 calories of a well balanced diet? That's what I am doing, more or less, its working for me and I think I am staying healthy.

Best of luck to you, I know how compelling the desire to get the weight off as fast as possible can be.

Hi Isai, congrats on the weight loss. I know it can be tempting to go to extreme measures to lose the weight, but the more sustainable option would be to eat between 1,200-1,500 calories a day and exercise! I'm not sure how healthy fasting will be long term.

:iagree: with you Amber. Losing weight in a sustainable, healthy way is the best option. Isai has not returned to the forum since this initial post. I hope he/she is ok.
