Hi everyone!!!

I'm Adam and I am 27 and I live in Michigan. I originally joined this site back in November 2008.....at that time I weighed 232 lbs my highest ever. Growing up I had always been VERY athletic and in shape. I played basketball throughout high school and continued to play during college in intramurel leagues and adult leagues at various local gyms.

I graduated college in 2007 and started working in the corporate world. The stress of work caused me to form A LOT of bad habits......I was living in a new city so I was no longer playing in basketball leagues......plus I stopped working out on a regular basis. Combined with this, my eating habits became awful. Over the next year and half my weight ballooned to 232 lbs, which is when I joined here.

In February 2009 the bank I was working for laid off our entire CRE lending group in Grand Rapids and I was unemployed. Thankful to God, I was able to land a job at the bank where I was previously employed. I am still working there but this past October I accepted a promotion and moved to the Detroit area.

The past 7 months have been busy and stressful as I have been getting used to my new job. Towards the end of March I returned from a trip to Houston and I stepped on my scale......255 lbs........I couldn't believe it. I graduated college weighing 175 lbs with abs and a great body.......and now I am a fat slob.

I decided that day that enough is enough. It was time to get back into shape and I couldn't delay this any longer. I hate that I am limited by my weight and I refuse to live this way for another day.

This past Tuesday I weighed in at 235 lbs so I am down 20 lbs since March. My goal right now is to lose 3-4 lbs a week by eating healthy, low calorie and low fat meals combined with LOTS of exercise.

Come check out my jounal.......I'm looking forward to meeting LOTS of people!

Cheers,
Adam

Hey Adam,

There are guys all over the world that are saying that it is time to change. It takes something like this to make up your mind. You will remember this time as very important in your life to regain control.

I am interested in know what you think is the most important factor to loosing weight; exercise or food program
