so we called the doctor back saying whta was results and he said i need to have more sweet drinks etc..
the problem is I WANT TO DIET!!!!!!! so how must i have sweet stuf???
i dnt want to have so much sugar...
i need a diet which will agree with me please!!!
thanx in advance!

I am no expert but what about fruit. Carrots and beets have lots of sugar as well. He may have suggested drinks because when you feel that way you may need the insulin spike quickly. Maybe get some lowfat chocolate milk. One thing I do to curb my sugar craving is I buy some really high quality chocolate and have 1 square. Its about 50 calories or so. It takes a little self control but damn. It is good.

I would also think this is a little too medical for a web forum. Talk to your doc for diagnosis and then see a nutrionalist for diet because a lot of general Dr.'s know jack crap about nutrition.

More sugar isn't the normal recommendation for hypoglycemia, so I vote go back to your doctor and find out what the deal is.

If what you've got is reactive hypoglycemia, eating fat and protein with your carbs and adding in snacks is the standard recommendation. Having a slug of straight carbs (like a banana and some dates) will result in a high followed by a low if you've got reactive hypoglycemia. Chocolate, which has a good bit of fat, is a better choice if you're in a low.
