Exercises for bum and hips

I am getting really frustrated that my weight seems to be stoping from my boobs and not at all from my bum or hips, I am really starting to look out of proportion!!!

Has anyone got any good exercises for this!? I do squats with weights but that is more my legs.

Hey Miss Charlie - My trainer has me do various squats with a squeeze in the bum as I come up. Doing them on unstable surfaces (Bosu, foam triangle or unstable disc, etc.) where I have to balance helps too. Lunges too. Not just forward squats and lunges - sideways too. Be careful with the unstable surfaces - my trainer obviously tested my ability prior to putting me on those surfaces.

Oh - a quick add - I really felt the squat pliat (sp?) while swinging a kettlebell.

Now for the disclaimer - this has just been my experience and I def feel it. I am not a professional in any way shape or form. Also, I may as well add the weight is going to come off where it is going to come off, but it will eventually all even out. :)

I hope it does even out- it is really starting to bug me!!!

Great well I will give those a try and next time I do square I will try squeezing on the way back up!! :)

Which exercise?

I know what you mean but I have yet to start properly. Have looked at several exercise & work out DVD's and they look really good, huge respect for people with this committment, I am still looking at different programs to get stuck into with hubby, no decision yet but fingers crossed. A big thank you for all the tips I have found so far.
