Exercise Videos/DVD

Socks, huh? I'll have to remember that one!! I'm actually the opposite of you. I'm a great fielder, but I am horrible at batting, can't seem to get it to the out field...anyway, try not to be stressed, nothing is worth losing your health over. whatever it is, it will pass...
It's about 7:15 here, i'm about to take my daughter for a bike ride and try to burn some more calories before the end of the day....

I would definitly reccomend Billy Blanks Ultimate Boot Camp! That is the only workout tape that has worked for me

Ive tried

Richard Simmons
Some girl that does a bunch of boxing or something
Polaties
Dancing
Hip-Hop Work Out
and Jamz.

Nothing worked but Billy Blanks.

Holy Buckets!! I never realized there was a channel like FitTV!! And we have it!! I just went to check it out and had my hubby set up the TiVo to record a couple of the shows!! I'm so excited.

I think I remember seeing his show. The hubby said that I could only TiVo the two I picked out until I tried it to see how I liked it. That show will be the next on my list.

Sharon Mann is good too, she's pretty hyper and has way too much energy, but the workouts are great. some of people on there have workouts that are too difficult to follow, like the dance moves and stuff, but this lady is good....
Good luck

LOL @ Sharon Mann, she WILL kill you, Cathee will too...especially that kick boxing session. WHEW!

I am so addicted to Fit TV!

well i have turbojam and it is really fun...the ab workout is great my abs were quite sore the day after...but that only happened the second time i did it. mostly because the first time i was just moving and not concentrating on my abs....so if you do get it, just remember to think about what you are doing, you get way better results:)

Lovely,

Have you bought that Turbo Jam yet girl?? I swear being up late these nights has me on the verge of buying it. If I see that informercial ONE MORE TIME, I'm going to have to get it. :D

Ohappydaye,
You sound so much like me. That infomercial your talking about comes on ALL the time too...I bought some dance aerobic stuff, but I swear i look like an idiot doing them, b/c I just can't get the moves down..This week i've worked out quit a bit. I WILL get comfortable into those new jeans before I go back to college....(about 10 days away)
By the way, I have found a great way to satisfy a chocolate craving. I bought some sugar free choc. pudding and used 1% to make it, and then dip your strawberries in it....ummmy.
Have you stepped on the scales lately?

Ummm, that does sound good!! I'm going to have to try that. :) As for looking crazy doing the steps...heck, I didn't know ANYBODY looked right doing those moves except the makers of those videos. LOL I figure the stupider you feel, the closer you are to doing it right...I don't know, just my little philosophy. :D LOL

And the scales....I don't own one, I'd weigh myself EVERYDAY and stress out if I buy one. I typically get weighed in every month at Curves but I'm going to weigh in at the nurse's station when I go back to work next Wednesday.

Hello, need some input....I am down to loosing the last 10 lbs which is becoming VERY hard. I have been doing the treadmill up until I've stopped loosing, and just bought some workout videos. Does anyone recommend them or are they just a waste of money...i'm trying to change up my workout routine a little.....

Work Out Video's definately worked for me. I chose Billy Blanks Total Body Fatblaster and Cardio Fatblaster. They really whipped me into shape, but it is high impact aerobics and there are all different kinds of work out video's available. Try collagevideo.com. They list all sorts of workout video's and how they're broken up (ie warm up duration, aerobics duration and cool down as an example) It really helped me in choosing the kind of workout I was looking for. Good Luck!

I was watching a repeat of Melissa Rivers' The Craze on Fit TV yesterday and this guy did his month challenge with Billy Blanks' Boot Camp. Booooy, that thing was tough... but it worked for him. It's 55 minutes. Heck, I figured doing anything that strenous for 55 minutes everyday HAD to work. It took him a while to work up to completing the entire thing it was so intense. I don't know if it was just so tough for him because it had been 1-2 years since he'd worked out or not, but the fact that it was 55 minutes wiped me out just thinking about it!

Wow....sounds tiring. I'm going to workout again today (sunday) b/c tomorrow I have to go weigh in. Since it's like 200 degrees right now outside, I'll have to do something indorrs.
I'm on the LA weight loss program and they go strickly by food and not exercise, so hopefully my efforts will pay off..

work out videos

who's your favorite video leader? what videos are your favorites?

i really love cathe friedrich, but i can't finish her cardio workout sometimes. i can definitely love tae bo at times and i love any dance videos. not the foo foo dance videos, but the ones that will really make you sweat if you're goin' all out.

anyway - just wondering what everyone else likes.

I started a thread about the same thing a few weeks back.

I have been using the Ministry Of Sound. "Pump It Up" workout DVD and I love it. Dance music is definately my sort of music and I find it fun to excercise to these songs. The workout is dancy but pushes you and works up a sweat. I would definately recommend it if you're after something that is hard work.

ha ha! that's what i get for not reading all the posts. thank you for responding though. i'll definitely look into that dvd. where's you find it?
