Exercise is not the best way to loose weight

In order to lose weight you have to maintain a calorie deficit. For most people this is most easily done by reducing their energy intake (food volume can stay the same if you start choosing foods that are less calorically dense than what you were used to: basically eat more fruit and veg). It's perfectly possible to do it by increasing your calories burned but it requires a long-term commitment of time and energy. Exercise is for fun and health, not primarily for weightloss.
