evening tv snacking

you know...I do recall watching a talk show on which a woman swore she lost tons of weight just by upping the frequency of sex between her and her husband (he was on the show with her and he never stopped smiling:D ). I got to admit, they both looked great.:)

It's quite true. Sex, three times a week burns off a Big Mac. I'm not kidding. It's also proven that those who perform cardio excersize frequently, at least three days a week, have better sex than those who don't. Cardiovascular excersize builds up endurance and stamina, making twice as much euphoria attainable.

I read that just last week actually. I was like :hurray: I do cardio everyday. :smilielol5:

I've started knitting while I watch TV. Not sure if that will be something I can do mid-summer but it works for now. :)

I wouldn't want to give up tv... sometimes its just so nice to sit and relax for a bit. Watching with other people helps. When I get the urge to eat sometimes I try and think about the pretty thin people I'm watching... or I eat a piece of fruit with lots of water which makes me feel full... but my favourite tactic is to save some of my calorie allowance so I'm allowed to have a little something then without feeling guilty :D Ooo and peppermint tea is good too! It feels like a little treat (for me anyway, I guess some people might find it disgusting), it has no calories, and it stops you from wanting to eat cos its minty. I think I'm going to go and have some now actually!

I eat dinner late, usually around 7:30 so I don't have much time for TV snacking. I also use the time after dinner to do evening cardio so by the time I sit down to watch TV it's pretty late. Sometimes I do get the munchies and it just comes down to making smart choices. Usually I grab one of the following, Dannon Light and Fit yougurt cup, celery sprayed with Wishbone Ceasar Spritz, 2 pieces light wheat toast with sugar free jam, light popcorn or a 120 cal whey shake with ice and frozen berries blended into it. On weekends I'll splurge a bit and make one of those Jello Pudding "cheater" pies, if you use the sugar free mix, CoolWhip, skim milk and a pre-made shortbread crust it's just under 200 cal a piece if you cut the pie into 8 slices. The trick for me is to space my calories out, usually I have enough left to eat up to the time I go to bed, if I want, usually I don't. If I short myself I eat an extra morning snack the next day. For me eating right is all about planning.
