estrogen

I have been reading back through some of the posts about estrogen..... I had a total hysterectomy in May for medical reasons, Im only 35 so am on HRT now for the next 15years!!
Even though I am eating clean, 1500 cals a day, 5-6 meals a day and exercising 5 times a week I CANNOT lose weight. I did post about weight loss a little while ago and was told to ignore the scales, but have since found these estrogen posts and wondered if this would have any effect on it.
Doctors over here are crap and dont do blood tests to check levels, they just keep swapping tablets until you find one that suits. Ive not actually found one that suits me yet, Im either having hot flushes, cant sleep blah blah, even though they have been changed 4 times now!! If they are effecting my weight loss I might even concider comming off them and going down the herbal route.
So....... Does estrogen stop weight loss??
Thanks again...... I know Im always asking questions but really do appreciate the help.

Hello again :)

It could affect your weight loss. I would ask you this first... do you know your body fat percentage? If so monitor your results with that number and NOT your weight.

When I was my fittest and looked my best... I weight the most. Yep you read that right.

On a personal note: I would look into the herbal route anyway. What do you have to lose? There is a well-known pharmacist near me that is becoming a leader in natural HRT. Almost every one in my area knows this guy and uses his advice. I think his website is:

Test your body fat once a week, first thing in the morning. If you have been working out consistently for over 6 weeks and have been eating well and have not noticed a THING... then really look into your meds. It could be the culprit.

Don't let this stop you! Keep going. Keep reading. Keep learning. HRT is tricky and controversial. But I know you can find a balance that will work for you and your hormones and your fitness!

Thanks Lynn
I have bought some calipers so will check BF weekly and see what happens.
I will also do some more research into natural remedies and see what I can find.
