Hello pplz. So happy I found this forum.
My genes/seriouly low metabolic rate (probably less to blame) and somewhat indulgent lifestyle (probably more to blame) has taken me to a new weight high. Now I need to lose...sob...25 kgs!!!!!
I quit my job in June and immediately signed up with a gym/got myself a personal trainer. Sadly gym membership/PT did not give me the Angelina Jolie svelte I wanted. In the 6 months, I gained some muscle mass, lost some body fat and can now stay 30/45 mins on a cardio routine quite effortlessly but one needs a certain level of fitness in the first place (which I didn't have) to fully take advantage of an exercise routine. Anyhow I think weight loss is perhaps 75% diet 25% exercise???
My friend who now looks spectacular introduced me to a diet plan which I started yesterday. Hopefully it works as well for me as it did for her. It is low carb, low cal, low fat and because you are eating and drinking throughout the day, you don't suffer the dreaded hunger attacks...much. The plan is really 3 “no-carb” days followed by 3 “low-carb” days (then rinse and repeat). The “no-carb” days =
Breakfast: 2 raw tomatoes + 500 ml water/8 am: 1 boiled egg + 250 ml water/10 am: 250 ml skim milk.
Lunch: 150g chicken (no skin) + 500 ml water/2 pm: 1 cup yoplait forme (no fat/low sugar)yogurt/4 pm: 2 egg whites + 250 ml water/6 pm: 2 slices low fat cheese + 250 ml water
Dinner: 150g beef + 250 ml water/10 pm 2 egg white + 1 slice low fat cheese + 250 ml water.
It's ok to vary a little – like I am having chicken instead of beef for dinner tonight – but must keep within the same caloric range.
I lose 1 kg yesterday (Day 1)
Staying on a diet is hard for me for I so love good food even if truth be told I hate being fat more than I love good food. I hope keeping this post/journal will keep me on track.
Wish me luck, guys
