Hi all.
Im a 29 year old male that upto now has not really paid much attention to weight issues, however earlier tonight i went to the doctors to get a refil for some other medication.
Whilst i was there, my weight was taken and i was shocked at the result, apparantly im overweight, i measure 170cm or 5 foot 7, and i weigh 13 stone or 183 pounds or 83kg
According to the doc i am about 6kg heavier than i should be and my ideal weight should be 75kg at the most.
I am now going to try and lose some of the weight but i know that it will be hard and difficault,
I was wondering if you have any advice that you may be able to give me. This is what ive worked on already
1) Im going to cut down on the crisps and snacks that i take for dinner,
2) reduce the sugar in my tea,
3) reduce the amount of tea,
4) drink more water (we live in an area where the tap water is not bad to drink)
and where i work i am 5 minutes walk away from one of the biggest canal basins and networks in the uk, and i am going to start going there for my lunch time.
I have roughly worked out the route on the computer and it comes to about 2-4 miles.
I dont know if this will help but instead of sitting down to do work during the day im standing up more and moving around.
I dont drink or smoke and im not normally very sportive.
Never really had to worry about my weight but now i just want to reduce it and would like advice from people that have actually been able to reduce the pounds and not some article that has been written by some graduate that dosent know what there on about,
Looking forward to your help and advice
Mike
