Equpiment for knee injury???

 Hi
Can anyone out there give me some advice. I have arthritis in one knee as a result of injury. I can't bend it quite as far as the other one and I can't support my weight entirely on that side. I would like to try and help myself by improving my fitness level and keeping the strength in my legs up. I'm thinking of buying a 'skiing machine' sometimes I think they are called 'air walkers' but would like some feedback from someone who knows about these things. Would it be suitable? (Someone ahs told me it is difficult to balance on them) Has anyone got any suggestions on equipment that would be suitable.
Thanks

you could ask a physical therapist. i had an injury years back and do exercises to this date, 15 years later, but not with any equipment other than ankle weights.
